Yeah, I gotta say this wasn't totally a fair review, but whatever.

I have the Verizon hard cover in pink. I love it! It's never fallen off, or scratched my phone. It is a little difficult to get off sometimes, but I suppose that's better than the latter.

The only drawback is that it collects a lot of dust/particles between the phone and the case if you don't clean it often enough. But I guess that's pretty much the same with any case.

this was about the weakest review i've seen here. those other cases may not be the greatest, but you should at least give them a fair review. laying the top cover piece on top of the phone and complaining that it just falls off when you didn't even attempt to snap it on is laughable. i particularly like at 1:08 where you have to make an effort to unclip the cover after claiming that a slight bump will knock it off and are unable to actually do so…

the vzw case isn't bad, but it has the exact same method of adhering to the phone as the ones you showed. 4 little clips around the perimeter (and how else would it attach anyway?) that need to be snapped on.

it's cool if that one is your favorite, but at least give the others a fair shake for someone who wants to see them actually tested.

How is it for sliding out to get to the key board? I have one of the cheap ones and I like it alot!! It lets the keyboard slide out pretty easy.

i was a little worried about that myself so i like the idea that i could return it if i did not like it but the sliding out is good. i did drop my phone the other day…it fell from the kitchen counter to the floor and was like nooooooooooooo. but when i picked it up everything was fine… 🙂

I am interested in getting a new case but sadly most of the suppliers do not ship to Canada. Does anyone know where I could get a case for my Milestone/Droid?

I got the Body Glove from Verizon: I rate it: 2/5
    Verizon's Clip Scam:
    – Verizon gives you a plain clip. The clip I was wanting was the one that turned into a stand.*

    The Good:
    – This thing was tough to get on, and therefore it was tough to get off.
    – It felt rather gummy, yet sturdy. I was pleased with the rugged construction.

    The Bad:
    – The top piece's long sides are flimsy and ended up scratching the side edge of the phone.
    – The bottom piece's connections were too large => ended up scratching the phone in many locations including the back of the screen and to the right of the directional (under the touch screen's back, menu, home, search sensors)
    – Once you put this thing on, you better intend to keep it on. I took it off, and when I attempted to put it back on, it split the plastic below the keyboard. I took the phone back, got a new one, and am awaiting getting a new case come next paycheck.

Doesn't the case decrease the ability of the phone to dissipate excess heat? What about summertime use? Or do these phones operate fine at high temps?

I put a Zagg shield on my droid and it is by far the best thing to keep it safe from scratches. Time consuming to put on but well worth it. I even bought one for my wife's Eris.

The plastic hard case from Verizon is nice (I have the clear). BUT it doesn’t fully protect your phone and the top part actually does come off very easily if you accidentally drop your phone.

When I dropped mine with top part on, the lower right corner where the plastic is cut out scratched and the top part popped off. That black bezel sticks up just enough to be caught on something that will scratch it and that’s what happened to me.

He’s right the case is very durable, but it can’t take fall at all and remain on (at least the top part). Also if you have the media dock, you have to take bottom piece off as it doesn’t fit in the cradle with it on which can get annoying to take it off every night if you use your phone in the dock as an alarm like I do.

If you like hard cases, this is the one for you. But for the most part your better off with a soft case. Just providing some personal experience.

Cases were the only bad things i ran across when I was purchasing my Droid. All the negs were the same as described in the video. But something that i absolutely hated was that the clasps would cause resistance when sliding the keyboard in and out. I compared my Droid to a friends Droid and realized that our keyboards were slightly different. My keys are bubble out. His keys were flat. So his case slid smoothly. I did however come across a case that is called the shell/case combo. Its a black rubbery type that is a case that also slides into a holster. I did have some trouble with the resistance, but i filed down the clasps and problem solved.
