Adobe is allowing users to sign up for the Flash 10.1 beta for Android as of today. That’s right, we are definitely creeping closer to the launch of the game changer for mobile devices. It should be noted that by signing up, you are not receiving the beta today, but you are entering your name into their system as someone who wants to test it when it finally is released.

After reading more of the DL pages, I pretty much gave up realizing this version looked more PC based. It allowed me to waste my day on other DROID related issues
Basically lame is a free open source encoder/decoder no and has never been questioned by fraunhoffner or anyone else. H264 is not open source and MPEG-LA made it clearly it won't be free for open source or free apps the way mp3 is.
I realize that this will supposedly only work on next gen phones, but I stilled signed up to see what it does on my G1.
But between Flash Catalyst and Adobe Flash and AIR for Android, combined with Apple’s refusal to publish apps not originally written in Objective-C, C or C++, I think Android will be one the easiest phones to develop for.
Nope man. You are wrong. It works. . .i guarantee you. Try it yourself then see. It has full flash and java support. Something very rare in phones.
I think you have to edit your site and remove sin up option…….do it,it makes benefits for your site…

With flash about to be an OTA update for us droid users what limits will it have. I have watched the video demo that was posted some time ago, but what about sites like hulu? Would it be able to have access to this or still not be supported by 10.1?
Am I the only person who signed up, but is not psyched for this? I signed up for the possibility that I'd get it and be able to spread it. However, if I cannot turn it off… I won't be using it… I like not having flash ads, and really flash ads are the most annoying ads of all.
So! Come on Adobe! Show some consideration for us mobile users and allow us to choose if we want to use it or not if its installed on our phones!

In reading the disclaimer, Adobe will notify us when Flash is ready for testing. There was not any mentioned as to when such a beta release will occur.

Everyone should sign up because there is a pretty good chance that most of us won't receive the beta. But if we all sign up and one of us receives it, we can spread it like wildfire. 🙂

I actually speak Adobe, second half of 2010 translates to June 2011. It's very similar to Moto/Verizon speak.
