• I believe that Droid X will work with Exchange by itself. I also THINK voice dialing is included, but don’t take my word for it.

• I want it, but won't buy it until it has an official Froyo on it. So, end of Summer or into the Fall for me. Not replacing my Droid 1 until I can run Froyo on the new device.

• Hey kellex, off topic but when are you going to root your incredible? im a novice who has learned everything i know from you and i even rooted it. also unrEVOked is releasing a recovery reflash tool today. and you can enable 802.11n! i know we all have a hard on for the new droids but there is alot going on in the Droid Incredible world.

  • You do realize to make July 15th Moto has already manufactured thousands of these units right? They're not going to unbox them and re-image them with Froyo when I'm sure they're already being shipped to warehouses.

    Google just officially completed Froyo, the timing didn't work out. We can only hope that Moto has been prepping a Froyo build all along and just waiting on final bug fixes. If that's the case a Froyo OTA update should come pretty quickly for Droid X users, I'm guessing August.

    • True. But no one put a gun to Motorola's head and said that they should release the phone on 7/15. They have to realize with debacle with getting 2.1 to our handsets was quite a task for them. With that being said why not delay a little longer to have it?

      Why sit there and have CEO of adobe twiddling his thumbs and talking about flash, and not even have it on the device yet? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

      I can see what you're saying about the source code being released late. Again this is Google at fault for announcing it and not having it work 100%.

• I wonder how Moto/Google will differentiate itself from iphone4 and iOS for the general public. Apple addressed some of the Droid Does advertising with the new release (the only two things I like about the new iphone are the increased screen res which is still too small for my taste and the face time app), so it will be interesting to see what things are highlighted at this presser. Also, despite claims of less dropped calls and better reception due to design, Apple still has issues with AT&T in many places which is admitted by Apple fan boy Walt Mossberg himself in his review.

  • It should come with Swype preinstalled. Swype makes phone keyboards feel like old-school typewriters. Try swype before you make your final decision.

    • Thing is, I have big fingers. Any kind of touch keyboard that I've tried sees really bad typos every time I try to spell out words since the letters on the screen are too small. The tactile feel of keyboards seem to help that. I'll have to give swype a try though.

  • Personally, a physical keyboard would take it off my list. adds size and moving parts i won't use. Its why I skipped the moto droid.

  • I thought the droid2 and droid x are the same hardware (processor, GPU etc) the main difference is the droid 2 has a physical keyboard and slightly worse camera.

    So what makes this much more appealing to you?

  • Incredible is only running flash lite, not the full version.

  • I /think/ the Incredible just has Flash Light or something like that so it's not exactly the same feature set as flash on your PC.
