Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • Awesome Andrew! Nice job man, so glad at least one droid-life member was successful!! Enjoy it man! I know I'm enjoying mine! (even though I had to pay for it :p)

  • Any idea if it will be in Michigan? Where is the twitter page? I don't have twitter, but maybe I can ask my girlfriend to add it

  • Congrats! Cleveland Droid-Life reader here too…got mine the other day. Got one through the first set of pre-orders at Best Buy. Still messing around with it now. Might return it for the Droid 2 when it comes out, I dunno yet….

  • congrats to andrew, but i have an unrelated problem, and i figure id throw this out there. i did something to my droid and need help. downloaded jrummy kangerade, then changed the kernel. worked fine until i tried to change to a different version (color) of kangerade and now my phone is stuck at the m logo. tried a battery pull and tried to load recovery (x button). it doesnt work. help.

    • I have had the same problem as well. I was going to try and switch to a different ROM and then back to JRummy and see if that fixes yet but I haven't had a chance yet. Have you tried that or tried switching to a different kernel?

      • thats the problem. i cant get to recovery to load an old backup or get my phone to load past the m logo. i cant get to rom manager or anything to change roms or kernels. unless there is a way to do this from my computer?

  • Congrats, Andrew! I was hoping for a scavenger hunt down this way (near Dayton) so I could finally get that old enV out of my husband's hands. Ah well, his resistance lessens every time he handles my Incredible. He should crack soon. Anyway, I'm still glad they showed some love to Ohio! Enjoy your X!

  • Congratulations, I was hoping to be the first droid life reader to get the droid x.

    • Congrats, except I think this one us all Andrew, he was here before anyone (even if he didn't know it, LOL)
