  • Agreed. I use Google Voice exclusively and I would love a Messaging Widget but none of them support GV.

  • yah, its a home replacement that does NOT require you to root, you can find it in the android app market. but if you wish to have the premium version which adds on widgets that resemble the htc sence calender/contact/bookmark/messages widgets, you will have to pay about 2 dollars i think, i cant remember how much i had to pay, I would recommend buying it though because of how much work Federico (the programmer) and his team put into the app and because of the nice look.

  • The system for updating launcher pro plus has probably changed since you bought it.
    Now what you do is download Launcher Pro from the market and then you enter your code into it under Preferences to unlock the Plus features.

  • I can't find where the tabs at the bottom of LP+ is customized. I've looked through all the options.

  • Does anyone have trouble getting the Contacts widget to show the pictures of their contacts? They show up fine on the stock Contacts app, but I can't get them to load in the widget. Frustrating.

    • If you're talking about the icon tray, it's part of Launcher Pro (even the free version). You can change it in Preferences.

  • I have been using pro for a while now and I love it. However, my wife tried to download it to her Droid and it really slowed it down. I tried to figure out what was going on, but didn't have much luck. It runs flawless on my Droid running 2.2 and I didn't have any problems with it running 2.1. Anyone have any suggestions? Something I am overlooking maybe?
    On another note I also tried to do the manual download of 2.2 on her phone from several links, including the one here…. have they been pulled?

  • I just got my DX a few days ago and i gave my D1 to my sister. Should i put my launcher pro on my X and if i do will it get rid of the ninja/moto blur widgets? On a side note ever since i got my X the wifi isn't working. went to verizon today and everyone customers & employees Droids wifi connections weren't working? Has anyone had this problem or heard anything about this?

  • It's nice but I HATE the inability to customize the app drawer. I like mine transparent, why can't Launcher Pro do that? It's the only deal breaker for me….

  • What is that app drawer you are using Kellex? Ive seen it in a couple posts of yours. Got a link?

  • So far it seems the widget doesn't show if the messages are unread or not, would like to see that. Right now I'm using the Handcent SMS widget, works great. Also wish the calendar widget had more options.

  • Crap, I just downloaded it and it forgot I've already paid….. I knew I shoulda kept that pay pal email. S.o.b.!

  • FYI- widget resizing works on all widgets, not just the LP widgets. Just figured this out. I'm sure most everyone else knows, but thought I'd share anyway.

      • Maybe I'm doing something wrong here. I have a Droid X, and LauncherPro Plus. I can resize the widgets but when I do, the box for resizing stays there indefinitely afterwards. The only solution I can find is to turn the phone off and then back on each time, which seems pretty ridiculous to me, but it works, at least.

  • Off topic hey guys I want to root my droid1 using universal androot v 1.6. Do you guys think that it works. And the say it doesn't unlock the bootloader.what's the bootloader????

  • Hey what dock image is that? I really like it and it's not a default choice on launcher pro.

  • Actually there are widgets on a Jailbroken Iphone!!! Btw anyone who knows anything knows that IOS 4 for iphone is the most POLISHED OS on any mobile phone. Ive had iphone 3g and 3gs….htc eris, moto droid, htc incredible, Droid X, Nexus One….android hardware is the best cause a new one comes out everyday…but as far as OS there a while away!!

  • Launcher Pro and Beautiful Widgets are both well worth the asking price IMHO. My only complaint about LP right now is that the widget resizing tool is still a little clunky and unpredictable. But all in all a great app that just keeps getting better. Best launcher I have seen.

    • I never used it, but I walked a friend through easy root (yeah, he didn't need me, but it made him more confident I guess) and he stayed with adw. He's loving all the themes and such, and I admit they're pretty cool and polished. Still an LP guy though. Just like the guys gusto and effort, I suppose. And it's a fast launcher (well, I got froyo issues and redraws but since I experiment a lot I never blame anyone)

  • To bad that the widgets are barely touch friendly. Launcherpro is awesome. But the widgets are not. I know there trying to copy sense UI widgets but honestly there not even close. Sense UI is still the best. I have had a Nexus One with stock froyo and a Moto Blur Droid X as of right now….. Sense UI is the best still and makes the phones friendly andf fun. Android barely has any good apps atleast fix the user experience. Im starting to miss my Iphone. Gonna return my droid X for the samsung Fasinate and give them a try.

  • HOW DO YOU PUT THE PHONTOS ON THERE LIKE THE FACEBOOK PHOTOS OF DO YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR OWN>???

    • haha Tim's reply is great. Fede says on his website you can't port the facebook pictures to this because Facebook doesn't allow 3rd party apps to pull the pictures (kind of makes sense if you think about it.) Just pull up mobile facebook on your phone's browser, download the pics, and set them to the contacts you really wanna see a picture with.

      • if i start up the messenger widget, i get the facebook pictures, as my phone contacts list is synced iwth my facebook account. the facebook pictures are on their respective contacts

      • Well, there is an app called syncmypix. It syncs your contacts with their facebook profile picture so even if you uninstall facebook or view contacts on a browser, they still have their profile picture.

      • YEP, IF MY, oh wait, if my contacts on phone are recognized (correct name I guess) then it shows their pic in my people widget. For the rest I just add them manually out of my gallery, if family or friends, or make some pic up.
