Last night at midnight, the Droid Pro and Droid 2 Global went on sale through VerizonWireless.com and from the looks of our inboxes, a bunch of you jumped all over them. Along with the pre-orders going live, the now-famous droiddoes.com site updated and includes both of these new devices at the expense of the original Droid 2 which is clearly on the way out. I be having my droid 2 turn off by it self when it trying to lode something or open an app and there's a lot lag to it.. what there's can I do?
if you click the special offers tap on the left-hand side of the page, the Droid R2-D2 & the Droid 2 are still offered.
You can't see it in the pic up there, but if you go to http://www.droiddoes.com on the left of your screen will be a tab that says special offers. The Droid 2 (non-global edition) and the Droid 2 R2-D2 edition are both under that tab.
I had intended to buy the Droid Pro. Now that I have compared it to the D2G, I've changed my mind. The D2G looks like a better machine.
I like how they all have their own Droid Eye….

That does say 1.2 GHZ for the D2G? Was that always the case for the D2?
on VZW's site for the specs on the R2D2 unit it clearly states: “TI OMAP 1GHz processor with Dedicated GPU” so that seems like a slight jump there and would that make this the fastest factory spec'd Android?

no its the same. its still a droid2 so its advertising the same features. only a few features changed.
That's a nice line up right there. Even though the Droid Pro is not something I would get, I still think it's an incredibly smart move to get people to switch from a BlackBerry.

It's not really at the expense of the Droid 2. They have taken the D2 and made it the Global, which is pretty much just a D2…. There would be no reason to promote pretty much the same phone twice. Actually it seems Verizon has improved the D2 instead of simply dropping it. It's still called the Droid 2, it just now has global ability.
