Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • Well I have difficulty understanding interest in Michael Vick as anything other than a world class douchebag. While I can excuse rooting for the Eagles..Thanks for sharing whit us…

  • Major NFL fan. I play fantasy and all that stuff, but I will DELETE this App as soon as there is a FEE.

  • okay people, the nfl mobile app itself is FREE. the live streaming games is what you will need a V-Cast subscription for, and is what the free service is about this weekend.

  • Survivor pools should both be down to four people, if I wasn't the dumbass who picked the Giants to beat the Cowboys (6-2 team beating a 1-7 team at home? is that really that far fetched of an idea?)

    • Enough people apparently that the NFL totals somewhere around 3.5 Billion dollars in player salaries a year. 1.5 Billion dollars for the NBA and Major league baseball is even higher last I saw…. that's is just salary money, not figuring in Coaches and Front office and the fact that owners still make millions as well… just look up Robert Kraft or Virginia McCaskey. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/30/sportsmoney_nfl08_Chicago-Bears_301335.html
You can see the math for just the Bears there.
So to answer your question 106 million watched the last Superbowl, and from a poll I read about 68-71% of all Americans watch or attend some sort of sporting event every year.

  • I'm just glad I have the NFL package on DirecTV with the SuperFan package, all games are available on me mobile! :o)

  • I find it to be bullcrap that Verizon is going to start charging for this app! I've had this app since BigRed stole the rights to it from Sprint! Runs great on my stock OG DROID!!! They should still offer a free version that lets you watch your local team when they are on at least or something like that IMO!

    • According to VZWDebi

@jasonangle This is a special promo for people new to NFL Mobile, so nothing changes for u.

My question was since I have this already, after this weekend do I have to start paying for it?
Nothing changes it should still be free for everyone that has it already. I will be agitated if her response on twitter to me is incorrect.

  • Ive been able to access NFL mobile just fine without shelling out anything extra on my bill. Kinda late to charge right when it's getting near the end of the season..

  • I've been able to do this for free all year… what's the big deal? Does this mean im going to get charged for it after this weekend?

  • I'm still upset at Verizon for not giving me free access to the NFL steaming when I purchased my Droid X because I purchased it on 9/1 and not 8/31 all because the store didn't have it in stock.

  • Yes, this will be interesting to see how OG D1 can handle the stream. Will be testing this bad boy out Sunday. They need a College GameDay App πŸ™‚

    • While I can excuse rooting for the Eagles, I have difficulty understanding interest in Michael Vick as anything other than a world class douchebag.
