  • Angry Birds Seasons Day 16 – High Scores?

I for the life of me, can’t figure out how to get 3 stars on day 16 of Angry Birds Seasons.  Been at it for a good 20 minutes now and I’ve officially given up.  Sad I know.  Show me what you got though!

(ImageShack and TinyPic are both good image hosting options.)

(ShootMe and Drocap2 are both good screenshot apps.)

  • R2-D2 DROID 2 Price Dropped to $199

The R2-D2 Droid 2 looks like it may not have been such a hot item after all.  With limited amounts of inventory apparently available at launch, the device was supposed to sell out within minutes, only that never happened.  With devices sitting on store shelves for almost 3 months now and Verizon unable to sell them, the price has been dropped just in time for a last X-mas push to $199.

    Cheers 0mie!

  • Dolphin Browser HD Updated “for the coming Christmas gift”?

Huh?  The “coming Christmas gift”?  In the newest update to Dolphin HD that came out this morning, those exact words are found in the “Recently changed” items list and we demand to know what they mean!  Are they talking about Gingerbread?  The Nexus S?  Something bigger and better?  What!

We’re digging for more, but in the mean time, feel free to drop your ideas in the comments below!

    Cheers jaytrain!

  • LG B Photos Leak, Might be the Thinnest Smartphone Ever

A new LG Android phone codenamed the “B” has surfaced over at Phandroid and it looks like the thinnest and possibly brightest smartphone on the planet.  You can see in the shot above how it compares to the i*hone which is supposed to be the thinnest according to those annoying ads, but this new phone is about to squash that notion.  And if you dive down into the gallery, you’ll see how amazing it’s new LCD screen is compared to both the i*hone’s and a Galaxy S device.  This is nuts.   (more…)

  • GameLoft Offers Up Modern Combat Sandstorm for FREE through GetJar (Updated)

GameLoft is looking to make some friends back this week after some interesting thoughts were expressed about them throughout the interwebs.  They’ve released Modern Combat Sandstorm for free through app gurus, GetJar!  There is a chance that Let’s Golf HD is also available for free, but I was unable to find it.  If you do find it on GetJar’s website, feel free to drop a link to it in the comments.

Oh, Sandstorm will require an additional 103MB of data to be downloaded to your SD card, but you are good with that right?  And I must say, the graphics are this game are impressive.  Hopefully the gameplay can keep up.

Update:  Just went through the training of the game and it’s pretty awesome.  Moving on to actual gameplay and then we’ll know for sure.  You’ll definitely want to grab this while it’s free though.

Update 2:  Looks like they might just be demos.  You can move on with your life now.

    Download here.

  • Download: Nexus S Microbes Live Wallpaper (Updated)

Our buddy Pete Alfonso, who gave everyone the first Gingerbread keyboard port is back, only this time with one of the new live wallpapers from the Nexus S.  The live paper is called Microbes and is a fun replacement for the Nexus light bar one we’ve seen so often.  It’s interactive, looks pretty and seems like a mesh between a Galaxy S paper and one from the original Nexus device.

Update:  Here is the .apk version for ALL users courtesy of @Haxzamatic!  (Download)

    Download:  MicrobesLWP.zip (alt link)

    Instructions:

    *Rooted users only.

    1.  Download the file from above and drop it on your SD card.
    2.  Boot your phone into Clockwork Recovery.
    3.  Choose “install zip from sdcard.”
    4.  Then “choose  zip from sdcard” and find the MicrobesLWP.zip file.

*DROID X and 2 users, you will need to go into “mounts and storage” and “mount system” first.

    5.  Select it, install it and enjoy!

  • Video: Google Maps 5 with 3D in Action

No need to do one of those cheesy “hands-on with the new Google Maps” videos as Google has taken care of it in a much more entertaining way.  Check out 3D viewing, twisted-zooming and compass action to the beat of a sweet hipster tune.   (more…)
