Yahoo IM App Updated to Include Free Voice Calls
The Yahoo Messenger continues to see some nice improvements with each update and this latest one brings free voice calls and landscape video. That’s awesome and all right? Well, at this time, the app only has support for the myTouch 4G and the EVO, which is pretty surprising, especially with so many front-facing camera devices in the wild these days. Hello Galaxy Tab? Hello Nexus S?
Updates available in the market for those that can actually use them.

DROID 2 Global and DROID Pro Get Axed at Best Buy
We got word yesterday from a reader that Best Buy was no longer selling the Droid Pro (our review) and Droid 2 Global and thought, “Wow, that’s odd…what’s the story BB?” Well according to reports this morning, they may have been “recalled” by Verizon and not because of some defect. No, we’re hearing that Verizon was upset at the ridiculously low pricing that BB was offering both devices at which may have broken some sort of contract between the two. Sounds like no one was buying phones from Big Red and they pulled inventory from BB. Drama.

Trillian Finally Lands on Android Market, Is No Longer Free
Trillian has easily been our app of choice for chatting on Gtalk, Facebook or any other IM app, but today it went official and now comes with a price tag. You can grab this stellar IM app in the market for $4.99…yikes. The beta I have appears to still be working, but I’m guessing they’ll figure out a way to kill it before too long. We’re also trying to decide what’s new or different in the official market version…any guesses?
Cheers Mike!

Rocket Bunnies Released on Android!
Rocket Bunnies is now available on Android and it’s free! What the heck is Rocket Bunnies? Think of it as an Angry Birds type of game only it has crazy bunnies involved that fly around in space collecting other bunnies, carrots, and powerups all while avoiding enemies and bombs. Well actually, it’s categorized as more of a puzzle game, that requires you to slingshot from planet to planet in the most efficient way possible so that you can walk away with 3 stars and an uber-quick time. I know that my description didn’t make a whole lot of sense, so check out the video below and you’ll get it. (more…)

Angry Birds Seasons Day 15 – High Scores!
Day 15 felt a lot easier than some of the last few we’ve dealt with, however, I’m sure 56,150 won’t be enough to top any of you. We have only 10 days left before X-mas which means the end is near for Angry Birds Seasons! Sad…show me your scores!
(ImageShack and TinyPic are both good image hosting options.)
(ShootMe and Drocap2 are both good screenshot apps.)

Tranquility 3.6.0 Released for DROID X with Theme Changer Toolbox
Our buddies over at MyDroidWorld put out version 3.6.0 of their Tranquility ROM which includes something only MIUI has been able to do at this point. Through Tranquility’s Toolbox, you can change themes that have been preloaded with just a couple of simple clicks. There are currently 6 options including a Gingerbread theme, but the goal is to add more as long as they can get permission from theme developers. So if you have a theme for the DX, you may want to reach out them to see if you can make it into this ROM.
Of course, the theme changing ability isn’t the only selling point here. It’s based off of the 2.2.1 (2.3.340) update that went out for the DX last week, it’s own custom launcher, and the backing of one of the Droid community rocks. You can also add or remove Blur on the fly, fiddle with a variety of reboot options, and change boot animations with ease. (more…)
