HTC is only 4 days away from officially unveiling the Thunderbolt 4G, which is the same device you’ve already seen thanks to our 12 picture gallery. That hasn’t stopped them from running through their series of “controlled” leaks though, like the ones picture above. They have been spending some of those billions in earnings on advertising across a variety of tech blogs in preparation for the launch, only as we get closer, they are beginning to reveal more details. Not that we weren’t already expecting “HD entertainment”, “8 MP photos”, and the ability to “video chat”, but it’s nice to see it confirmed.
Oh, and that model number we broke the word on, ADR6400LVW, it’s now appearing in a variety of Verizon systems which Android Central got a hold of below. Maybe this phone will hit store shelves before February?
4 days from now. You have got to be excited, right?

how much will the data plan be?
hoping for dual core
hoping for dual core
Who cares the Droid t2 phone will be the sweets phone
I’m with you!
IF this phone is blessed with dual core, the only one that is ready, and has been in HTC’s labs for months is the snapdragon MSM8660 dual core set. Has a maximum clock of 1.2ghz, so if it is used in the thunderbolt, it would prob be clocked at 1ghz for best battery life. I wish!! Supposedly the other three phones from LG, Samsung, and Moto all have dual core on-board, so HTC would be stupid to not include the 8660, when it has been ready for prime time for some time now.
Earlier I asked how much the data would be…I meant for the 4 g phones….
so if i get a 4g phone will i be able to pay 3g pricing and just not have it be 4g? considering where i live i still dont even have 3g
prices might still be the same. the most i see is like sprint, paying a little extra a month for the 4G phone
WIll this phone offer CMDA and SIMM card?
YOU want a dual-core phone
Anybody else notice that the phone highlighted right below it is the new Samsung 4G phone that is supposed to be coming out. If it’s also in the system, does that mean it’ll be coming out around the same time? I thought it wasn’t supposed to be coming out till later this year?
Is it going to be with 1.2Ghz processor and 5Mp cam on front????

Hope the rest of the specs we saw the other day turn out to be true as well!
I’m still really hoping that HTC also gives some info on the Scribe at CES too. Is CES here yet? COME ON!
Oh boy, this may be my next baby. 🙂
Duo core and is a must have…..
gotta have a tegra 2 and ill be inline
Which phone will be the one to replace the X?
Most people are hoping for a Tegra 2 phone, which is likely not the Thunderbolt. It’ll still be a beast though.
do you think they will make a dual-core version later on?
I was under the impression this phone had the Qualcomm MSM8960, which is no tegra 2 but is a dual core 1.2 GHz processor. This could turn out to be a great phone>
I doubt it. Those processors shouldn’t be ready until later in 2011.
when will the motorola etna be released ?
How much will the data be?
Big bucks. 50 for 5GB 80 for unlimited…
Too freaking much!
wrong.
Where are you getting this from? As far as I know smartphone data plans have not been revealed yet, just data for modem/laptops.
I agree here, I don’t know of any official data plan prices for mobile phones. I’m not convinced we’ll see the same data plan prices for phones at we see on the modems.
yea okay! you forgot one thing… its VERIZON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4G Prices are going to be pretty close to this
Where are you hearing this? It’s false
Well….this works. And works well. I like how htc is generating excitement for a product. You listening moto d2g? Moto? Are you there?
Excitement with who? The only place I see the ads are on this site. There’s nothing main stream, all the people they are advertising to already know about the phone.
As Stone Cold Steve Austin would say…”Oh Hell Yeah!!!”
What?!
