• For the love of it, i cant figure out how to get the roms to work on Psx grrrrr

  • Go to dope roms. Download, decompress. 9 out of 10 times you’ll end up with an ecm file. Google ecm and you’ll find ecm100. Download and decompress it, and use the unecm utility (via command prompt) on the ecm game file. Rename the resulting file to add .bin to the end, and drop it on your phone. Open with psx4droid and presto. : )

• why is it that every rom i try to use from roms4droid dont work even after running through some unemc process? i am able to see the rom but when i click on it the screen goes blank like its going to open something but than nothing ever happends it goes back to the select a rom screen.

• I can’t map the physical keyboard on my Droid 2 🙁 is the game gripper REQUIRED for this emulator? Whenever I try to map the keyboard under settings, it seems to reset whenever I start up a ROM or restart the app. Even when I try to map the keys while the ROM is running, the key mapping screen just flashes in and out without giving me a chance to do it.

  Virtual controls are fine, but really only for some RPG games. Otherwise I gotta make the physical keyboard work!

  • Try romhustler.com, thats where I get my roms. Each game is a multiple part download. Open the first zip file and pull the image file from that and drag it into your SD card. You need to download all the zip files for that game in order to open that first zip file

    • Thanks, but what type of games am I looking for? Any Playstation? Not sure what I am looking for on that site.

      • Any original Playstation games work. In the left hand column on the site look for Sony Playstation, from there you can search alphabetically. The website is actually romhustler.NET not .com, sorry about that. Hope this helpls

• FPse is the way better PSX emulator. Its still in the market and while not free, it has way better compatibility and performance and schtruck the dev is very responsive to issues. I sort of lost respect for zodttd.

  • I swear you need the SCPH1001.BIN file before you can make it work. I downloaded it off a torrent site.

• The idea of emulators like this are great… but for anything more advanced than the nes.. the touchscreen userability just kills it for me… perfect example is the layout on the screenshot given… what If I want to be moving left and use the L button?!! lol

  • Extract the apk from the zip.

    • When I extract on my windows computer, thinking the apk would be in there. it show the assets/lib/META-inf and res folders, same thing I see when I open the zip file with Astro on phone. Am I being retarted?

      • Re download it. Cause when I downloaded it everything was apk. There was no zip.

        maybe you got this mixed up with something else.

        • this was wierd, i downloaded it a few times on the computer, all zips, once on the phone, apk. Very weird. Imi sure i could have renamed the zip to apk and all would have been well too.

      • Apk files are simply zip files with a different extension. If the apk somehow got automatically renamed, just rename it back to “.apk”

  • download to your phone and rename the file to apk and install like any other apk file.

• Tried playing Ape Escape but it didn’t even show the ROM as a compatible file. And the app keeps force closing on my DX on 2.3 rooted. I’ll have to try another ROM.

  • I think you need that special file (SCPH1001.BIN) to make it work… unless that’s included with this version. I don’t know. That’s just how it was before.

    • Yeah I got that but it still would force close. I’m going to try MGS.

• Silent Hill is one of the scariest, most horror filled games I ever played! Gives me the chills just thinking about how freaked out I was when I first played it years ago. Such a mind blowing game when it came out. Downloading now!
