And Here is Another Likely Fake Samsung Galaxy SIII Render and Press Invite

So yesterday morning, we received a link to a Korean website that had this picture blasted on it. We ignored it. It looks fake as hell. Does it not? It’s picking up steam today though throughout the blog-o-sphere (for some reason) and so our inbox is filling up with it. Rather than have us decide that it’s fake and not share, we figured we would let you all express your opinions about it. Is it real? Will Samsung actually release the ultimate metallic, “Fast. Vivid. Slim.” device as the Galaxy SIII?

And is it just me, or does this look exactly like that fake “Nexus Prime” photo that some believed was real too? You tell us.

Cheers Seth and everyone else!

So even if this is a fake will the Galaxy S lll ever come to verizon wireless?

  2. Good_Ole_Pinocchio

So FAKE… no buttons top left or right… but it’s kinda sexy

  3. I think the blurriness lends credence.

  4. FortitudineVincimus

All I see is a phone that won’t be on Verizon

  5. GawkerRedesignSucks

Fake or not I like it!

  6. Austinrgoebel

It looks fake i would love for it to be real but i dont see it

Is there some kind of weird rule that makes it necessary that all android blog sites have to post every stinking render of the sIII that comes out?

More than likely it’s fake, it looks more like a Nokia type build. When companies start with all of this hype over a phone normally it.doesn’t do well or it has a lot of bugs; most of the Motorola’s, HTC, & Samsung. The only phone that does get fake release dates & photos & does really well on sales, I hate to say it is the iPhone.even though it looks the same almost half the time it’s the only one that does big numbers. If Google would ever release a phone with better software & not have as many bugs for every damn phone maybe they would have better sales. Whether this is a fake phone or not hopefully it’ll have better radios & a better camera than my Galaxy Nexus. I don’t know which was more or a disappointment, the Nexus or my Thunderbolt lol.

Dude, let me explain a simple concept. No.Android phone sells in the numbers of I*hone, because there are so many that have to share sales. Verizon has about 10 Android phones, 1 I*hone. There are 2, but sales are lumped together. I expect better from Android enthusiasts.

      1. eze4

Stop making excuses dude as you say. Forget the sales, read everything else I said. Too many modasuckin forcecloses as well lame updates for bug fixes. I’ve been with Android since day one, I have at least 8-12 Android phones somewhere around here. I have had one iPhone, the iPhone 4 & I’ve had less problems out of the iPhone. I love Android but the truth is the truth. When I go up against iPhone users @ work, of course I rep Android to the fullest but I’m just being real. F the sales, I’m talking about apps working constantly with good senses on cameras.

        1. Tim242

You spent a lot of time talking about sales. It’s not my fault you can’t understand simple concepts. As far as updates, 99% of consumers don’t even know what they are, or what they do. That goes for I*hone users as well. I worked at at&t for 3 years. .I should know. As far as apps, both platforms have good and bad apps. In case you missed it, iOS apps crash more than those on Android. Regardless of what you think, i*hones are not perfect. I dealt with customers and apple care daily, for 3 years…I should know.

          1. eze4

Ha ha that’s what it is. You work @ at&t so you think you know it all. I fully understand concept and everything involved with it, I never said iPhones were flawless smh. I guess you’re picking out what you want from what you read & as far as updates & consumers understanding what they do or don’t do I could care less. Stop worrying about what other people think & just focus on what I’m talking about. That’s wrong with people today always involving others. Smh 1st 48 lol

          2. Tim242

Dude, you must be on crack. You’re preaching at me to mind my own…go back and read your OP.

          3. eze4

Smh now.you’re getting off topic. Smh crack really? Is that the best you can do little timmy? Wait that’s right, you work for weak a$$ at&t. Have a good day little that doesn’t know what he’s talking about & likes to jump off subject. Adhd I see.

          4. Tim242

I do not work att. I said I WORKED there. I now work for alltel. How am I off topic by pointing out your inconsistencies? Your posts do sound like you are on drugs.

I have 3 reasons why I think this is most probably fake:

    1. The “III” in “Galaxy S III” is NOT symmetrical as pointed out in another render that had this same issue. It could be just the way the type is but it seems like the third “I” was just pasted in from photoshop.

    2. The slogan (or whatever you wanna call it) “Fast.Vivid.Slim” is the same slogan from the galaxy s II. Take a look at the keynote from the galaxy s2. The three main factors they touted on that was the faster processor, the slimness, and the vivid screen. Take a look at this: http://thedroidnation.com/wp-content/uploads/Galaxy-S2-Logo.png. It’s a direct copy.

    3. The language of the design itself is very unlike samsung.

The third point is really opinionated but I think I have a point on the first two 🙂

I’m with you on this. Nice work.

      1. Azn_Android

        Thank you 🙂

  12. its a fake Samsuck doesn’t have the vision to make a device that sexy.

  13. droidman101

Honestly, another blog said it could easily be the leg of a chair

  15. Sinofueramos

“London, United Kingdom” sounds like a Nigerian scam letter. Wouldn’t they just say “London”?

    1. droidman101

Samsung would say “London.” Everyone else would put “London, England.” An Asian prankster would confuse the UK and England (this was posted by a Korean guy after all).

    eww

  17. Aardvark99

    Much clearer version here:

Most believable render I’ve seen so far.

    2. r0lct

      Damn Instagram filters

    3. Aardvark99

I got this picture directly from Zoll, so totally legit.

  18. Fg2srt4

it comes complete with android 1.6…because simple is better

    1. Droid Bricker

No, no, you’re thinking the Iphone 5!

  19. Andy Blystone

If it’s not released on Verizon do I care???

  20. bionicmonkey

Its funny cuz Samsung phones are made of plastic not metal.

    1. droidman101

This time its supposed to be ceramic-based.

    2. PC_Tool

Your post is funny because you think you know things…

      1. eze4

        Lol

  21. I know it’s very blurry, but i’m 90% sure that it says “Carl Zeiss” next to the lens on the back…

    1. Sam

that’s the fake nexus prime photo, not the fake galaxy s III promo

  22. KreeTerry

this is getting ridiculous.  just stop people

  23. asianrage

I want it to be real.  That’s just a cool design

  24. Fake or not, I think its sexy

  25. Is it just me, or does the entire image look grainy? That is my first indication that something is wrong.

    1. BearDroid

Someone could have taken a picture of a poster.

      1. cashclay

        Instagrain’d.

  26. This does not look anything like what Samsung would design. Looks more like the bastard offspring of an HTC and Moto phone.

    1. A bastard offspring is better then a red headed stepchild. :]

    2. kniceguy

And then the iPhone and an Sony phone met and had a baby, and then those two babies met by chance and *********…

  27. Schoat333

I could see that being the back of the phone. I expect the SGS III to be edge to edge glass in the front.

  28. Scott

If this was an actual device it would be pretty cool. I kind of wish a little bit that the Galaxy Nexus looked like this but I’m in no way disappointed in my phone.

  29. moelsen8

that’s retarded, for lack of a better word.

    1. sc0rch3d

sammy teamed up with black eyed pees this time around so let’s get retarded in here

      1. Sp4rxx

         booo!

  30. spliced249

The GS3 hype is outrageous.  I hope is lives up to it.

    1. GawkerRedesignSucks

Yeah…let’s hope we don’t end up with another Galaxy Nexus.  I love my G-Nex, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype.

      1. spliced249

Love mine too. Still pissed at the camera though. Not too much longer and we’ll know…..

  31. Joseph Pojunis

    Samsung wouldn’t release this.
