Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • Good. now all the tablet version needs is a tablet UI that works in landscape and portrait

  • I’ve been impressed with the quick bug fixes. I have to imagine getting it to work properly on so many configurations has to be tough. I am surprised at all of the complaining about the app though. I mean, there are thousands of other apps to use but this one seems to get so much hate. I’m glad it’s out for Android now. Users complain that iOS gets everything, then when it comes to Android, people complain about the app and developer.

    O_o

  • Whats kind of funny… even though this was CLEARLY an IOS app first, unless they changed it since last week, There is no Ipad version of this app.  Android got tablet support first.

  • For browsing purposes, it’s a pretty darn great experience to see all the photos on a large screen. Been using the app on my Android Touchpad since it was released.

  • I DONT CARE
    I DONT CARE
    I DONT CARE

jesus… are you going to update us every time these aholes update their stupid app????

  • I am not a huge fan of the app or social network behind it, but I have to give great big kudos to the guys at Instagram for the support. I don’t remember seeing bug fixes and user requested features added on any app this quickly before.

    • I like the social network behind it, but I’m most impressed with all of the support they are providing.  A lot of developers treat their Android Apps like the red headed step-child, so I’m supporting them.

  • This is a perfect combination of two things I’ll never use: The camera on my Xoom, and Instagram.

    • It’s a Trending Android app. Therefore it deserves some spotlight on a popular android blog. Simple as that.

      • @Timotato:disqus My Classmate’s aunt Makes $76 every hour on the computer. She has been unemployed for 5 Months but last Month her pay was $18597 Just workıng on the computer for a few hours. Read more on thıs sıte.. http://zapit.nu/20b

    • Seriously.

We don’t need you to read every single change log to us. Get a twitter or something, this isn’t blogging.

      • I’d say that it’s big news that an app that had previously excluded a pretty big segment of Android devices now supporting them is more than just a change log update.

That said… My Transformer Prime still isn’t supported, apparently. 🙁

  • i had a quick question, will this update fix the fact i cant use a whole picture, instead of a square?

or is the iphone app like that as well?

    • I don’t think so.  I’m pretty sure that Instagram forces the square aspect on both iOS and Android.

      • i can almost swear i seen people with full screen shoot on instagram but maybe that was on twitter
        thanks fellas
