If you’re a fan of Steve Kondik’s work or that of the entire CyanogenMod Team, then you will love this sixty minute long video of their Meetup at Yelp HQ that took place during this year’s Google I/O. During the discussions, they talk about what makes CM, where the project plans to go, and many other awesome Android goodies including bootloaders. If you’re into the underground Android scene, definitely check this out.

People still use CM? It’s sad they take longer than OEM’s most the time anymore to have anew android version.
exactly my thoughts
Are you using a Macbook over there?
You just realized Kellex uses a Mac? Apple makes mediocre phones and is a patent troll but their laptops are fantastic and Mac OS X is second to none (in my opinion) unless you’re a gamer.
You know most people at Google use Macs as well, right? It’s not rare. Most developers use them… just because we like Android, doesn’t mean we can’t like Mac OS X…
He covered the logo… that’s all.
That’s not Kellex?
It would have been great if their mics worked so we could actually hear.
very interesting, way over my head, but still interesting lol
I believe there are speach classes availabe.
There are typing classes as well.
*see “availabe”
Absolutely but that’s what happens when you are in a hurry.
…and spelling classes (“speach”)
yea they are nerds, but they are our type of nerds! lol
lol he covered up the apple logo
I wonder if they ever plan to market their own phone…
CMNexus phone, comes with built in mods that you are able to switch back and forth into at the touch of a CM icon without rooting. Just download mods to your CMN phone and it does it for you and stores it as well.
Interesting video that gives a decent perspective on the work needed to actual get a working version of Android.
Facial hair mandatory
I was hoping that video of this would show up online.
Does he push the Samsung crap in this?
What kind of crap do you prefer? All that bootloader nonsense is overrated I bet too.
Do bootloaders make phone calls?
??
The question was quite clear.. The SG3 unlockable bootloader might make better calls than the previous unlockable ones though 🙂
