Week of Holiday Tegra: Win an Asus Transformer Pad With Keyboard Dock and Logitech Gaming Controller [Day 2]

Day 2! All week long, we’ll be handing out fabulous Tegra 3 powered devices to the DL community in our “Week of Holiday Tegra” event, thanks to our friends at NVIDIA. They put up a massive amount of prizes, all of which take advantage of the gaming potential that their Tegra 3 processor contains. Been to the Tegra Zone lately? If there is one mobile company that is doing everything in their power to push mobile gaming forward, it’s NVIDIA. 

Yesterday, we gave away three Nexus 7 tablets in a mega-contest that saw well over 2000 entries. Today, we’re giving away just one prize, but it’s quite the bundle. How does an Asus Transformer Pad (TF300) with keyboard dock and Logitech gaming controller sound?

    Logitech Revue (Google TV): A nice workaround before XBox got Amazon Prime, YouTube, Redbox, etc. Now I just use it to stream shows occasionally. It works. Would rather have real TiVO though.

  • I have the OG Droid that I use to stream music into the bathroom. I use either Google Music or my subsonic server. I have the server hooked up to a pretty large sound system in the living room that will certainly entertain the neighbors a few houses down. Everything streams via Plex to the SGN as well as the Nexus 7 and Cyan-o-Nook as well as my little Roku.

Usually serves as a second display, and as a decoy to prevent theft of my more expensive laptop. People ignore the more expensive PC just because there’s a Mac next to it.     Google Chromebook Cr-48: Google graciously sent me one for free. It’s developed issues with the WiFi dropping randomly (probably because I’ve abused it so much), but overall is still a good netbook. Very well built.     Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet: nVidia Tegra 2 w/ 32GB storage, keyboard folio, regular folio, portait charging dock. It’s a wonderful device. I love the active digitizer pen, works wonders when drawing electrical circuits and taking other similar notes. Keyboard folio has that classic ThinkPad keyboard feel. Charging dock charges it faster, and just makes it look darn cool. Tegra 2 is surprisingly smooth for its age on JellyBean (unofficial CM10 port).

    Samsung Galaxy Nexus (on Verizon 4G LTE): The one, the only. Needs the glass replaced though 🙁

    And for those who use their phone or tablet along your computer, try the ShareKM app. Lets you use your computer’s mouse and keyboard to control your Android phone/tablet via USB or, if you have root, Bluetooth or Wifi. With the portrait dock, it makes my ThinkPad tablet fit into my work flow so well. It’s an awesome second screen.

One of my “junk” laptops is used for Netflix, Hulu, blueray and more (xBox netflix and hulu limits what it shows outside of the internet) on my 50″ LCD Visio with 5.1 surround. A few projectors sitting around that I use for family movie night on the back of my house. yay movie popcorn maker…

    WiFi that was modified to cover the entire block (I like to go to the park down the road with my daughter and still work).

    Server with gigabit network through the house to house pictures, home movies and other important data. Also connected to it is my CCTV system

    xBox 360, PS2 and PS3, DS, PSP, DS3D XL Nexus 7, Droid X with cradle (has been retired as my alarm clock) Razr Maxx and OG Droid is my personal MP3 player and internet streaming device while cutting grass.

  • I have a 46″ Sony Bravia LCD TV hooked up to the following; Xbox 360, PS3, Verizon Fios, my computer from 2002 lol, my original NES(still works and I still play it) and a Sony surround sound. I have a Genesis and an Atari in the closet. I have a Sony universal remote to control it all(minus the PC) My TV only has one HDMI port so I had to buy a selector switch to hook up everything to the TV. And my surround sound isn’t the receiver type(no multiple hdmi inputs) so I had to use Fiber Optics for the sound. Also hooked up to a selector switch. As far as my phone goes. I have a shiny new 16gb marble white Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon Wireless.

    With my computer being 10 years old it is super slow and outdated. I rarely use it because of this. Sooo frustrating in an age of instant everything to have to wait 5 minutes just for Chrome to open lol.

  • I have a Razr, and Macbook. I used to have a 16gb Nexus 7 but as soon as I got it I heard the 32gb was on the horizon. So I returned it but the money ran short and I never got another one, however at the peak of my Tech set-up, I charged my Razr with my mac to make it a hotspot for my Nexus 7 to listen to Songza while I drove on an 8 hour roadtrip.   • I’ve got a pretty ridiculous self-built computer, a self-built HTPC that doubles as a playbox, DD-WRT running on my home routers (two access points on opposite sides of the house), and a droid bionic. Looking to add a tablet to the mix!

  • Pretty basic so far. GNex, Galaxy Tab 10.1 is it for the flash. The rest is bare bones basic. This would definitely be an upgrade.

  • Nexus S phone (getting really slow running jellybean) , PS3 (which i barely use anymore), Panasonic Plasma TV, and a Galaxy Tab 1

  • Xbox360, LG 47″ Plasma TV, Vizio 47″ LCD TV, Nexus 7 (16Gb and 32GB), iPod Touch (4th Gen), Samsung Galaxy S (original), Home Built PC (scrap parts), Compaq Laptop ( 4 yrs old) — Ah … technology.

  • 32″ HDTV with/ PS3, Roku, VCR, DVD, HD DVR connected to it, running PlayOn media server for music on my computer and the TV outputs to an old all-in-one stereo system. Somewhere there’s a Droid Inc2, HP touchpad, and old laptop in there too.

  • I have a Nexus 4, and a 17″ gaming laptop made by Asus, 1080p, Blu Ray, the works. I don’t have a tablet – yet

  • Galaxy Nexus (Verizon) rooted running 4.2.1 ROM, Nexus 7 4.2.1 stock rooted, HP Touchpad CM 10 (could really use that Transformer Pad to replace it). HP Laptop running Windows 8, PS3.

  • My DNA is the best tech to ever happen to me. My living room consists of a hacked Wii, an Xbox 360, a desktop for various things and a laptop for portability.

  • I have a 52 inch Sony Bravia TV, Tivo, Xbox360, 5 computers, GNexus, Droid Inc, All hardwired with Gigabit Ethernet except for the phones.

  • Phone: HTC Thunderbolt (hopefully not for much longer)
    Computer: dell xps m1330 (see above)
    Gaming systems: ps3, wii, nDS

  • Gnex on VZW, Moto Xoom Wifi, Dell XPS Gen5 HTPC, connected to Samsung 3D TV. w/full DD/DTS surround sound receiver, Xbox 360, and a partridge in a pear tree

  • I have a 24″ Apple Cinema display, a 22″ Vizio HDTV hooked up to my pc which is an AMD Phenom Quad core, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 8, 1GB Radeon HD 3870, 2 SSD’s striped together with a 1TB backup drive and blu-ray player.

    I also have my Xbox 360 hooked up to the HDTV that is on my desk so I can play COD/Halo/BF3 and also be playing World of Tanks/League of Legends/Rift.

    I just have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and no tablet…I need a tablet…;)

  • Woohoo!! lets see….Droid Razr MAXX, home office setup with PC i built, work laptop, 30″ monitor, 22″ monitor, speakers i built, lepai T-amp, Logitech G700 and wireless keyboard, cheap router, terrible TWC internet.

    -PS3 for movies primarily….and collecting dust
    -42″ Sharp Aquos TV that I bought like 6-7 years ago.

  • All I have is a Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 as far as Android goes. I also have a Chromebook and a veryy old Toshiba laptop, no TV though.

  • Still rockin’ a Droid 3 with unlimited data, but it does just fine. Have a high end Vaio laptop, but still weary about the tablet world.. for now. One of these Transformers could be just the thing to change my mind.
