Today, AT&T announced a couple more 4G LTE markets here in the U.S., bringing their total to a respectable 153 markets give or take. What I enjoy most about these posts is that I learn more about this country of ours. For example, I had no idea there was a Cleveland, Tennessee. Neat.

There’s also two Fort Bragg’s, the one in NC of course, and the one here in my home county of Mendocino, in Northwestern California, ours is on the beautiful Mendocino Coast, in the Redwoods 🙂
Haha, I live in Cleveland, OH, but went on vacation to Gatlinburg, TN when I was little. Whenever we told people we were from Cleveland, they always said “oh, so you didn’t come too far then.” We figured out pretty quick that there was a Cleveland in Tennessee.
That story sounded more interesting in my head.

I live in Cleveland, TN. Too bad At&t still sucks out here. Verizon is about the only service worth anything in Cleveland. My house, just happens to be in a dead zone where i can’t even pick up a good 3g signal much less the 4g broadcast here by Verizon. Have no idea why, but Cleveland was one of the first markets in TN (and the nation) to get VZW 4g.
I live in McMinnville TN. Between Chattanooga and Nashville. I get 4GLTE from Verizon because of their Rural LTE program. I’ve had AT&T and its so bad here in this small town that I on’y get 2G or EDGE data. Same as it was in 2005…. So for that reason I have Verizon.
I used to live in Murfreesboro. I believe that’s fairly close to McMinnville.
Awesome. I lived there from Aug. ’05 til Apr. ’12. And yeah, Cleveland was on the list of the very first towns/cities to get Verizon LTE. I believe that either 6 or 8 markets were kicked off initially, and Cleveland just happened to be one of them. My guess is that Alan Jones was responsible for it 🙂
I wouldn’t doubt it. He’s got us a brand new airport so why not first dibs on LTE too? Yeah…I am way too obsessed with phone tech/Android. Glad to know there are others nearby with the same obsession. You still in TN or out of state now?
I always kind of subconsciously thought that I was the only Droid Life’r in Cleveland.
