Trello Update Adds Android Wear Support

Trello, a project management service that we are quite fond of around these parts, received an update on Android today that introduced Android Wear support. With this update, the “organize anything” app will allow you to create new cards on the go by telling your watch to “take a note,” see full notifications on your wrist, and reply to comments without ever opening the app on your phone.

The update just showed up on our devices, so it must be live for all without a staged rollout. Full details below.

What’s new

  • What’s that on your wrist? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman? No silly, it’s that fancy new Android wearable you got because you love new gadgets. Like you, Trello is an early adopter and we’ve got Wear support right out of the gate.
  • Need to create a card on the go? We got that covered! Just say “take a note.”
  • Notifications on your wrist! You can even reply to comments straight from your watch. It’s magic
  • To get all this awesomeness all you have to do is tap that Update button.

Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • I never got the concept of Trello. At least not with anything I tried doing with it.

    • It’s an app to help you manage projects. You have boards with tasks, and you can invite others to collaborate on those projects.

      • True. I don’t see how you can manage anything with a Post-It note style tool. But maybe it’s just me.
