Now that it’s official, we just have to ask – are you buying the HTC 10?
With a set of premium specs that mostly match up to what others have used in 2016 flagships, along with a focus on high-res audio, a 12MP camera with bigger 1.55 micron pixels, slimmed down software experience that we wish others would adopt, and supposedly best-in-class battery life, there is a lot to like here in the HTC 10. But we can’t overlook the quite high $699 price tag, the lack of AT&T availability, and May launch that seems so late.
We’ll have one in hand shortly to weigh in with our own thoughts, but now it’s time for you to tell us if this is your next phone.

So now that the $100 discount has expired does anyone have a guess as to whether or not HTC will announce another discount? If so, when?
I’m really thinking about it. I like how they stripped down their skin and made it very close to stock os. I’m waiting a few months to decide, let’s see what the new galaxy note has then I’ll decide. I’m still on the S5 haven’t needed to update yet…
Always liked HTC, who didn’t install Beautiful Widgets to get that ‘Sense’ clock, up until the Hipster Troll Carwash fiasco but if I can’t pour very expensive champagne on my phone then what is the point of anything.
Absolutely. Can’t wait till Three UK start selling it

not with a top-facing headphone jack and a home button I’m not. they got so much else right!
Nope. Perfectly happy with my 6P 😀
This looks like a killer phone for me to buy…next year when it hits $200.
I voted no. Because I am still very happy with my Turbo 2. But also because it is just a bit on the small side for my preferences. Other than that, this seems like a great phone.
I still need some questions answered but overall it’s looking promising. I voted yes, but probably won’t buy it for a while, maybe once the price drops and I can confirm some things.
Most importantly: Unlockable bootloader on Verizon version or just the GSM version? (A must have as I rely on wi-fi hotspot all the time.)
Here’s my first “quick” look, pros and cons.
Positives:
Camera sounds great, definitely “good enough” and possibly industry leading looking at the early DXO Mark numbers.
USB-C (true USB-3 I think?) with Quick Charge 3.
Display touch response sounds industry leading if true (great for twitch games), and with the high ppi due to 1440 res, should look great
Sound quality (with “Hi-Fi Audio”) should be great (I was concerned about the change from the previous stereo speakers but this is possibly even better quality now), both from the phone’s speakers and through the headphone jack when I’m using my AT M50’s.
SD Slot
New battery life optimizations will hopefully translate to good real life screen on time numbers
HTC hardware design and software overall looks good with their typical good attention to detail
Negatives:
SIZE! With 5.2″ display it is 71.9mm wide, 145.9mm tall, which is almost exactly the same as the (also 5.2″) Z5, but this is over 2mm wider than the previous (5″) M9 (69.7), and the (5.1″) S7 (69.6 – major props to Samsung!). 5.2″ vs previous 5″, seems minor but this is a really negative change in my book for a _phone_. I have my Nexus 6 for a tablet like experience. I want my phone smaller (my current og Moto X is 65.3 and is great in pocket/hand). For comparison the 3.5yr old 5.2″ LG G2 managed to be 1mm less wide (70.9). My only hope is that that bit of extra bezel around the display will better protect it from drops, but we’ll see. Over 70mm width in a phone is a near deal breaker for me.
3.0 Ah battery is only 5.6% larger than last year’s M9 (2.84), combined with the much higher res display, has me concerned. Speaking of that display…
Even with new optimizations, 1440 res is a lot more pixels to push, and is going to hurt battery life vs if they’d stuck with 1080. And most importantly it’s not OLED. Not a total deal breaker, as I’m sure the LCD will be great as far as LCD’s go, but I’d much prefer OLED.
Finger print scanner (I may be in the minority but I’d rather not have one on my phone, ironically because of security).
Headphone jack is back on the top, would prefer it stay at bottom.
No wireless charging or any redundant charging method such as removable battery (always good for peace of mind should the charging port ever break).
No waterproofing.
No “one version for all carrier bands including Verizion” (didn’t expect it but would have been a great positive surprise if they did this).
In the end there are still too many negatives for me to be buying this at launch for $700 or even $600 with the pre-order deal (though that does tempt me). I’ll wait and see how all these issues play out, and maybe buy one a few months down the line when the price drops, and questions are answered. Of course by then if we’re hearing real signs of an HTC Nexus coming, I may decide to just hold off until Fall, if my trusty old Moto X which has finally been showing some signs of negative issues lately – is still hanging on.
Price too high and capacitive buttons no go
The phone checks more boxes than the S7 for me. I like metal phones more than glass as well. But I have the 6P and will keep it until the next Nexus is revealed this summer. If HTC is rumored to make the next Nexus device, I hope we get a lot of features including the HIFI DAC.
I’m pretty frustrated with this whole thing. I’ve had the Droid Incredible, DNA and the M8. I’ve found plenty to love with all of those phones and never felt like I didn’t have the best phone available at the time for my needs. I generally like other Samsung offerings, but I just don’t like their phones. HTC feels like it’s a little more unique, and, relative to the competition, has had a slightly better bend toward the things I like in a phone; build, interface and experience. I’ve been so close, SO close to pulling the trigger on the S7 Edge in the last month, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it without seeing what HTC has to offer.
So, here I am on launch day, very excited that this might finally be the corner-turning device I felt HTC could make. Problem is this: I can’t get it into my hands right now. Everything about this phone has been confirmed over the last two months and they can’t get it into people’s hands before May? On top of that, AT&T is out (officially), Sprint and Verizon versions aren’t up for pre-order on day 1?
HTC is making it very hard to stay onboard…
I’m right there with you. Had the Incredible (don’t call it “Droid”), DNA, almost bought an M8. I’m not about to shell out launch price for this but I’d encourage you to hang in there a couple more weeks. All the positives of what you’re saying about HTC’s devices vs Samsung still seem valid. The S7 gets a lot right, but will still seem like a toy if you’re used to the polish of HTC, and will especially let down on the software side.
I will end up holding out a bit longer. I’m on Verizon (still on unlimited data, and the coverage in my area is by far the best), so I’ll need to see how they plan to roll out the phone.
I’m in the same exact situation. I may wait and buy one of Swappa later if it turns out all good.
You should have a “maybe… Once the price gets drastically cut” option.
nobody will buy this phone, samsung and lg just got all the sales in android market in this beggining of year
On verizon, want 5.2 or 5.1 phone for the fall, i got a LG G3.
HTC 10 vs. S7?!?!!
Help me decide!
G5 is better than both, look and see 🙂
right but the size i need it to go down, i went from an S3 that was 4.7 to the LG G3 which is 5.5, and its just too big.
the S7 and HTC 10 are nicer sizes just need micro sd and good camera.
LOL. LG should spend their money on making a better phone, rather than paying people like you to make useless comments like this.
I like the phone so far. Specs seem cool. Problem is, it’s too late. I already have a 6P and a GS7. If they had out out the phone or at least details about the phone a month ago they would have had me
Right? I think the decision not to challenge the Samsung launch was very problematic.
Absolutely will not buy any phone that doesn’t have Samsung Pay.
I picked no in the poll because I’m happy and content with my Nexus 6P. However, if I was in the market for a new phone, this would be a strong contender.
Same reason
I said no, cause I am happy with the phone I have right now but if I was in the market for a phone. I would pick this over the LG g5 in a hot second
I actually feel bad for LG. They’re going to take a beating this year.
I personally like htc devices, my favorite phone was the amaze. The build quality is very good with htc. Never was a sense fan, but that’s one of the reasons we root. From the videos and pictures, sense doesn’t look to bad this go round.
The people that run htc into the ground do so with what seems to me to be a personal hatred…I don’t understand it and I really give one sh!t less. Anyway good luck to htc on this device. Can’t wait to own it, and I look forward to unlocking my Verizon htc 10 with my xtc2clip very soon!
The phone itself is okay… I love the metal back… but… those bezels are just TOO BIG… dealbreaker definitely…
Definitely interested in this device, though for 700$ (just like any new flagships) it’s a bit much since that would cross into my computer’s budget. Hopefully I can still get it!
I’m interested but it depends if my carrier offers it (T-mobile) might have to see the screen before hand too.
I’m basically not touching any phones with curved glass fronts because I’d prefer the ability to seamlessly apply a glass screen protector instead…that and I’m also only interested in SMALLER phones, so maybe if they release a mini version with same internals…
Why are people so hard on HTC? If they screw up at something, people are like “what a fail, HTC is done!” If Samsung made the exact same mistake they’re like “Oh, it’s just one misstep, I can forgive that.” I personally really like HTC’s decision to offer unlocked versions of their phones, to support bootloader unlocks for them, and their fast and debloated Sense UI. I hope they can survive.
There should be an option to vote for ‘Nah, I ain’t got funds.’
Nope waiting on Note 6
I’m loving this phone. It seems like they got everything right this time around
yes, when theres a price drop.
Nope.
Already have my phone for 2016, but best of luck to HTC. The 10 does look great.
I’m seriously considering getting it. I’ll wait for some reviews.
No way. This is another failure phone for htc that ain’t going to sell well at all. Hey, at least they are consistent!
I voted no because I have commitment issues. There’s still the Note 6, the new Nexus and possibly a new V10?
But I do think HTC did good this year.
Already have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge….and loving it.
No, because I’m waiting for Samsung to release a version of their S7 Edge without TouchWiz. Since hell will freeze over before that happens, the next Nexus will be for me. gotten to spoiled by a clean Android experience with my Nexus 6.
If I was in the market for a new phone, this would be on my list. Thing sounds pretty rad.
It honestly looks like a way better than the LG G5, but since I already own the Galaxy S7 Edge I can’t just drop it and pick up the HTC 10. I also don’t think it’s better than then S7E either. I would pick it up over the regular S7 though.
They really could’ve put the headphone jack in a much better place. The top has always been, in my eyes, the worst place you could put it. Put the power/headphone jacks on the bottom and call it a day.
GG HTC finally a phone that makes you not go wtf.
I actually said WTF when this phone didn’t make me say WTF. So now did i really say WTF or does it not count? I’m confused….WTF
If I was in the market for a new phone I would tempted. I would certainly choose this over the current Samsung and LG phones, but I am currently perfectly happy with my Moto Droid Turbo 2.
It looks like nice hardware but I’ve already purchased an S7.
sucks to be you, loser.

Lol, what a mature, useful comment! Thank you for enriching my life as well as the life of everyone else on this website!
Last HTC I had was the Thunderbolt – lol – have not looked in their direction since. Although my wife had the Rezound and it was pretty good for its time. LG is now killing me with the G3 and Marshmallow update – can’t seem to win these days and not sure why. Android should at this point be getting easier not harder.
whats up with the G3/MM??
Many issues with the update on the LG G3 – I can’t use Hangouts as SMS anymore, doesn’t send SMS picture attachments , wifi drops and does not remember networks previously connected to, calls drop when moving as I tend to pace when on a call even with a full set of bars in the signal, the notification drop down menu needs to be pulled twice as the initial pull won’t pull it down – it swipes back up. Really upset out the hangouts issue as I now have to use the stock messenger for SMS and hangouts for hangouts people. 🙁
Daaaaaaaamn Daniel.
Definitely interested. I was about to go buy an S7 today too, but was waiting to see what HTC had to show us. May release date is a bit rough.
Never owned HTC, but if their overall package is better than the S7/G5 for my use case, I would love to try it out. Just need to see it in-store, play with it, and most importantly, put the camera through its paces.
Not in the market right now, but I would definitely consider it if I was. By the way, Kellen, this is an option you should always add to your polls.
I swap between an Exynos S7, Nexus 5X, and Moto X Pure Edition. Passing on the 10 for now, but a price drop might bring one into the fold later.
Fool me once…
http://www.dev.droid-life.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/nexus-9-deal.jpg
I was “fooled” once by HTC when I paid big $$$$ for an EVO View tablet!!! A Nexus 9 would be a gift from heaven in comparison because, well, it’s at least a Nexus!
Same problems with the HTC 10 as always:
-No wireless charging
-Gimped battery capacity, especially after what Samsung did on the GS7 releases
-No larger-screen variant
Camera is still an unknown but I would be shocked if it was even close to the GS7 or G5.
I’m glad for the current crop of tiny spring handsets to be out of the way so we can get the Moto’s 2016 releases, the next Note, the next Nexus and (hopfully) a V10 successor in the fall.
Prepare to be shocked. =p
http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/HTC-10-camera-overview-A-great-all-rounder-for-stills-and-video
I think that’s about the most lopsided a poll for a new phone as I’ve ever seen. I don’t remember seeing anything higher than the 60s as a “no” vote for a new phone.
Its wrong to say yes or no when i have not held the phone yet. As I am still using a moto x 2013 I will take my time. All your readers can not afford a new phone every few months.
If it had a bigger screen I might. Just not feeling the S7 for some reason. Their ui is always so sluggish imo, no snap to it. Was hoping for better with the G5. Still waiting for a 5.5 inch or bigger phone that impresses.
On paper, everything about this phone looks better than the G5.
Maybe I missed this earlier, but I just saw elsewhere that it can airplay audio to airplay certified devices / speakers. That’s a pretty sweet (albeit niche) feature out of the box if you have any of Apple’s ecosystem in your house.
Edit: n/m, here it is just now: http://www.dev.droid-life.com/2016/04/12/htc-10-supports-apples-airplay/
I can’t say i’ll buy the HTC 10, but i’ll get the 11 next year if the camera is up to scratch.
No because I am on ATT and stuck in their upgrade cycle so buying unlocked and making phone payments on 2 phones is stupid. Otherwise my answer would have been yes.
Gonna wait until the summer before I pull the trigger
1) S7 came with $150 worth of freebees and even giftcard depending on store…and is now b1g1.
2) G5 came with freebees and/or giftcard depending on store.
3) Both have similar specs and extra features
4) The N6P is incredibly priced and is still amazing and will continue to receive updates for around $450
5) HTC has a high price, no accessories, no freebees, and might not get much support from carriers…
I like HTC but dammit guys just reboot the Incredible line or do a DNA again. The Incredible was my favorite phone until the 2013 Moto X. I can’t see buying this until one of their site daily deals and for about $500. I’m assuming next month the S7 will see at least a $70 price cut too just like the S6 and S5 did after a few months out.
No, I just bought the S7 Edge at full price!
So, this poll is open to all; those who own Apple, Samsung, LG etc. That means most of the responders aren’t in the market for a new phone or aren’t interested in HTC.
Knowing that, the results are astonishing. If HTC even APPROACHES a 27% market share (which is highly unlikely) they will be orgasmically enthralled. As it is, it looks like they’ve got a winner.
It’s open to all, but this is an android enthusiast site that leans slightly to the casual browser side as well. 25% or so of your enthusiast base is extremely small over the overall user base. These are the people that are known to always have the “best” phone by their friend group and get a fair amount of “hey, what phone is that?” and “What phone should I get?” stuff. When those people don’t want anything to do with your phone, you’re in a bad way.
I’m sure HTC’s new phone will be a huge success at least I hope it s.But you also have to keep in mind that HTC has to kind of hold thier breath because many people have already gotten other handsets so at this point they would need something to justify buying a new phone.
I’m interested but I’d have to pay $25 to Verizon so that I could pay $700 to Verizon to get it. I hope all these phone manufacturers start selling unlocked versions on their own. Imagine a day where all android handset makers sell unlocked stock android versions of their flagships on their website.
HTC is selling an unlocked version, check their website. It even includes all of Verizon’s bands. The only issue would be getting Verizon to activate it, but that issue should be able to be bypassed by activating a SIM in a Verizon phone and switching it over.
If it had no capacitive buttons and the initial price was lower then maybe. In its present form though; not a chance.
I think capacitive buttons and fingerprint scanner on the front are deal breakers for me, as well, but I’ll see how I feel when it actually comes out. I did get the M7 years ago even though it had capacitive buttons, but I never liked them.
Reading more about this phone has me seriously intrigued. Definitely still a wait and see, but they may have hit enough of my wants to overcome the frontside clutter.
Yes. Been wanting to go back to HTC for a while after loving my experience with the m8 but because I always buy the latest and greatest phone on the market I moved away from the m8 and HTC not too long after as they just couldn’t keep up with the specs and capabilities of other phones. So now that HTC is finally up to date specwise with every other phone I will be able to buy without the feeling that I am getting a half baked experience in comparison to other major flagships. Definitely going to wait till reviews tho… Want to know how good the camera really is so that I can decide which device I replace with this.
Is the HTC 10 a Nexus device? Oh, No. then i won’t be buying it.
Stop giving people that like nexus phones a bad name. I swear you guys are worse than apple fanboys. Funny thing is the htc 10 has a heavy nexus influence and what you are looking at maybe the building block for the next nexus
haha, i kid. i really like what HTC does. i hope this phone sells well and they stay in the game.
I am waiting on the Galaxy Note 6!
It still has that NFC icon in the notification tray.
HTC (unlike Samsung) supports the UI Tweaker in Marshmallow (at least it does on the M8) so you can hide any of those icons you want.
In all honesty, I find it quite overwhelming to have multiple posts of the same subject.
This is like the 6th post about this phone…
New around here? 😛
This happens every time a new phone is announced.
Kellex why do you have to post all this Android stuff, can you post a bit more about the iPhone?
/s
Quite frankly, I was looking for some more Tizen and Windows Phone articles. I’m shocked (truly shocked) at the amount of android related articles I find here on a daily basis, especially when a new phone is released.
Although, I think I’d be pleased with more non-tech related articles….BvS Dawn fo Justice anyone? Civil War? Beuller?
Actually, I’ve followed DL for a fews years now. (don’t get too cocky!)
I mean, with many articles spread around it’s hard to keep up with the comments at all. Maybe someone posted something interesting in an article you end up not seeing it because you’re too lazy to open the 8th one.
isn’t this pretty standard for most tech websites?
Well, Android Police actually tries to mash it all up together in a pinned article.
That’s good because it concentrates all the info, plus the comments.
i don’t think that’s true. android police mixes it up really well which seems like they “mash it all up together”, but if you look at all of the articles they throw up talking about a particular device , it’s comparable to most of the tech websites.
Well, one man can dream.
there’s nothing really special about it except sense ui. i might be completely wrong, but can’t you replicate it other launchers?
Launcher is an app. Sense is the look-and-feel of the entire operating system. Whether you like or hate a particular manufacturers skin, you can’t solve it with a Launcher.
isn’t the look and feel similar to stock and couldn’t you install nova launcher and replicate sense ui gestures? these are genuine questions btw – not trying to argue. i’ve never used a htc phone and was wondering what’s so special about sense ui.
It’s been too long since I’ve used sense. I’m just making a general statement about launchers.
ah i see, okay.
It’s giving my S7 Edge a run for it’s money. Might give it a test drive at least.
It’s all about price… For HTC to become relevant again, they needed to release this in the $399 to $499 range.
Would you take lesser specs and build quality for that price? Not gonna get what you have now in that price range.
We don’t know about build quality and honestly I would take 3GB of RAM instead of 4 and a drop in proc. HTC is in trouble and they have to do something if they want to be here next year. They can’t charge Samsung or Apple prices.
my moto x pure cost 550 last year.. And it was considered “mid-range” Pull your head out of your arse.
Well they should have played the game and waterproofed it
Depends. I need to hear about how good the camera, battery, and display are first. If they match or excel the latest flagships, most definitely. I like the design, and that it won’t be a fingerprint magnet like the S7, and dig the near-stock approach HTC has taken. Couple that with what some hands-on are saying about the audio? Yeah, it’s a pretty attractive phone, but only if that trifecta I mentioned earlier is worth a damn.
Nope. At this point, I honestly don’t care much about specs. As long as it performs well, I just look for phones that has good battery life, a good camera, and a nice design.
I’m not sure about the first two, but I don’t like this phone from the front at all. Kind of frustrating, because the back and sides look extremely nice in my opinion.
Knowing HTC it will probably perform well as they really do nail software optimization but the other two things are definitely in question.
Answer No. And its not because i dont like HTC or the device. it’s because im perfectly happy with my N6P.
I think the phone looks pretty nice. It’s not a bad phone. I’m just not needing to upgrade yet. And if I were, I’d probably stick with a Nexus.
It certainly looks like an improvement, but the price seems a bit off, especially if HTC wants to move some product. Hopefully their marketing game is on point this time around.
No unlocked Verizon model = automatic no buy from me.
~$400 price tag, I’d consider presenting it to my wife. $700 is just wayyy too much for a non-nexus to me.
$400? Get real. $599 would be more realistic.
I’d buy another nexus before dropping 599 on this
This is my point.
Promo code HTC1008 and it’s 599.
Waiting for Droid Life Review.
HTC 10 is more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S7…clearly NOT gonna buy it
they are late at this party anyway, Samsung already wiped all the money from those who wanted a flagship device
Really.. I still have some money. And I wouldn’t purchase anything from shamesung.
It looks like a sweet phone, but I think I’m going to hold out for the Galaxy note 6 later this year.
No phone for me that has skinned android.
I’m interested, but I’d have to feel it in hand and give it a go first. Definitely not pre-ordering, and I’d probably wait for a price drop, but I’ve always appreciated HTC’s units both in terms of hardware and iterations of Sense (although I just use Nova).
HTWho?
That’s a succinct way of stating my issues. Give us the phone!
HTWho????

I was left disappointed yesterday by the release. The teaser image at first made the phone’s design seem promising, but after seeing the real thing, it looks pretty bad. The fat borders on the back make it look like it’s already being gobbled up by a cheap TPU bumper case.
Can’t believe I actually wasted a few months waiting for this let down.
No. Note, iPhone, or Nexus. In that order. If not, then nothing.
I dont like the fact DL gets one to play with.
Naw. I think they took some steps in the right direction but i’m just not feeling the design. I think they took a step backwards by not offering stereo speakers because that was a big selling point for them.. I’ll probably hold out for the Note 6 and hope Samsung finally sells it directly/unlocked
The actually have 2 speakers on it, one on the bottom and one at the top, one is for the base and the other for other sounds, so far I’ve heard it sounds better than anything out there, not compared to other HTC models but better than average.
Yeah but still not stereo and can easily be covered when holding it in landscape. I use wireless headphones so it wouldn’t bother me but I have some friends that bought it specifically for front facing stereo speakers. I just personally don’t like the design.. I really wish they would have designed it like the renders we thought were the M9 last year
No but i’d be stoked if they took over awesome stuff like the improved touch latency and audio quality to the rumored nexus.
I am really considering getting an unlocked version for AT&T.
I want to wait and see if they toned down the bloat like they claimed on the unlocked version.
Pretty sure I am. No root on the S7 and G5 are instant deal breakers for me. Plus Anantech seems to think it’s pretty sweet so far. http://www.anandtech.com/show/10238/hands-on-with-the-htc-10/2
Only thing really bugging me at the moment is the price, but the phone itself sounds quite good. Should have one in a few hours, so I guess we’ll find out soon!
Might be a bit cheaper from carriers though, we’ll see.
I picked up an unlocked S7 for $599 week one. $700 is way too much for this phone.
Yeah, not directly from Samsung though. May still be able to for this too from other stores. I guess we’ll see.
The only 2 companies selling lifestyle products are Apple and Samsung. HTC “wants” to achieve that but the general consumer isn’t picking up an HTC phone over a Samsung/Apple phone. Especially that they’re priced at or above S7/edge 6S/Plus. HTC’s biggest differentiator was making premium metal phones with the M7. That didn’t work and now everyone from Samsung to ZTE are making phones with premium materials (metal/wood/leather/glass). If they want to move units they need to bring the cost down. HTC today is recognized by tech enthusiasts or a general consumer who had a bad experience with a previous HTC device. This phone should retail $599 or $499 if they used a FHD display and got rid of the headphones or other useless crap.
We’re all entitled to an opinion.. Even if its wrong. The people who are interested in this, are the people that want an actual nice android phone. Samsung hasn’t made one yet. And go hold the two. taping some glass to a cheap aluminum rim isn’t premium.
Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides and aluminum not premium? There’s more than 1 way to make premium phone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wtOmEi8n_0
You’re right in that, theres more then one way to make a premium phone.. But again, samsung still has yet to do that. I will say, its a def. improvement from the garbage class devices they were spitting out two years ago. But like i said.. Go hold the two.. You’ll see.
I got samsung pay to work 🙂
Please stop using /encouraging those dumb marketing numbers “x99” etc, and just say $600, as you do when you say 700 for the HTC.
Camera tech is off the shelf Sony with them just slapping their ultra pixel branding on it. You know cuz the pixels are huge, like the sensor on the 6p and S7 phones. Laser AF, a cheapy Asus has that too. LCD screen costs nothing almost. Not sure how much it costs for an audio dac, but $700 it aint in aggregate. $550-$600 should have been the right price range.
lcd is more then amoled.
The front camera has OIS too though and it comes with decent headphones. $600-700 should be what’s expected. I’m sure carriers will have it for a bit less than directly from HTC.
It’s a standard flagship price. Granted, nobody actually had to pay that for the S7 since they had big promotions from Day 1.
rightfully so, for that fisher price toy.
Kellex is the pic correct in showing the headphone jack now at the top of the phone instead of the bottom?
Is this a serious question? There are SO many pictures and videos of this phone that have been posted in the last 2 hours.
Tim’s already hating on it. I hope you all are fair in your reviews.
Why wouldn’t we be?
Because Tim already dismissed it with a “game over”

Kellen reviews all small-hand phones 😉
????
LOL
Think that was Tim just making a joke about the LCD screen HTC used…
He was just making fun of the previous comment. In his words:
Tim-o-tato – Was just laughing at previous comment, not declaring “game over” for HTC. Remember, I continue to be the person that wants more choice in the Android ecosystem, not less.
I think Droid life is very good in their reviews And even though the people who get mad because they don’t pick the phone up their choice are going to say that they are biased I really feel that they are very informative and are the closest to the real thing
All things considered it seems like a winner. is the price a little high…yes but it looks great and sounds like it has the Nexus5X and 6P Sony IMX377 sensor but with OIS! 3000mAh battery wrapped in that sexy metal case but… giving up dual front speakers for capacitive buttons and a home button fingerprint reader… wish they stuck the reader on the back thats all
Agreed, the price is curious. But the rest is actually pretty promising, I am very excited about the audio upgrades. Looking forward to hear what you have to say about it!
Kellen, is the $699 price for the 32GB or 64GB version? I’ve looked all over but haven’t found any mentioning of this
Do you have any idea how long it will take before you post a review on this awesome site.of HTC’s new flagship phone?
Hi, now you have HTC 10 can you tell if front camera also have auto focus or its fixed focus ?
The phone is nice, I’m pretty sure though carriers the price will be the same as the others but I’m glad I went with the GS7E.

I always wish polls like his had an option along the lines of “No, but if I was in the market for a new phone right now, this is the one I would buy.”
It’s asking if you’re going to buy, not would you buy it. The results are more accurate since, even though people like the phone, they’re not going to buy one.
I would buy it if I ever got ahold of my boss’s wife’s credit card. I checked “no”. Do I have to change my answer now?
As the situation describe does not reflect your current reality, then no, you do not have change your answer. Once that hypothetical situation becomes your reality, then you can change your answer. Until then you can research the use of hypothetical situations in reasoning.
Nope. On Project Fi, so it won’t work.
