  • Hey all, please don’t call me a cock roach lol but I happen to love my Droid Turbo 2. I am highly disappointed in Motorola and their customer support, but I have had no issues with my device.
    But for all the people in here trashing Motorola, could you post what devices you have? Not trying to start an argument, just trying to see what you all have..

  • 5’7″, 5’6″, 5’5″? As an Asian male at 5’7″, these dudes are short af. I mean, why not list a realistic height? Start at 5’7″ and go up to 6’+? Sheesh.

  • Did anyone else notice the razor blade necklace the purple haired girl is wearing? Why would anyone wear a razor blade over their neck? You think it’s a subtle allusion to the RAZR?

  • Lenovo can have my money when I actually trust them to update software when they should, not deprecate the apps that people bought Moto phones specifically for and came to rely on, and when their RMA/repair channel gets its act together. Lenovo took all of the goodwill Google generated with Moto and chucked it straight down the toilet.

  • There is so much hate on here about these ads. This is catered to an Indian market. By the retweets and shares, it seems Moto took the right approach for the demographic they are typing.

    Propose – is another term to ask someone out. hubs cribbing groupfie likely terms that cater to that market. If they released these same ads catered to a US market it obviously wouldn’t work.

        Propose: to ask someone out just to the movies, or for a drink, etc. (NOT to get married like it says above)
        Passed out: graduate
        + many other terms i just don’t remember.

        Sorry you don’t know all the terms in the ads but you do know more than many of us from the US market do! In addition, having your parents check your phone at 22 makes sense in the Indian market. Far more people live at home or with their families until later on in life.

        Just saying this article pokes fun of getting married, people living with their parents etc. but ultimately it’s just for a different market and it seems to work.

        • They are releasing this in India because the Motorola Moto E1,E2,and Moto G,G2,G3,G Turbo have been very successful.And yes..out of all the above tweets from Motorola India,only one of them shows an Indian which is “Rohan”.
          Yeah they check phones, and that families thing is also correct,but we are an illiterate country!We don’t know even proper english! And it seems to work because of the popularity of the last gen moto Gs..

  • So much moto hate, but I just bought an X Pure and love it. Has more features than my original Moto x and works Fantasticly.

    • Other than wave your hand what’s more in that? I just sold few days back. was good but not very fast phone..

      • How fast do you need a phone to be? Were you Photoshopping pictures with it?

        • No, I was using faster phones along with my Moto X pure, Nexus 6p and iPhone 6s. if it was a real question how much faster do I want. it would be combination of iPhone 6s app load time + HTC 10 animations speed(or probably Nexus 6p) that would be the fastest phone for me.

      • Hand wave, put your phone to ear for a “private” Moto X voice experience, twist to camera, chop for light, do not disturb at night.

        There are more useful settings on the pull down settings than my OG Moto X. All other manufacturers (other than Nexus and HTC10) don’t have the stock notifications.

        I know I’m was upgrading from an old phone, but my experience has been extremely fluid. HTC 10 was looking good too, but I paid $400 less than the HTC10 price for my Pure.

    • I’m loving my Turbo 2. But, I have also read that there were many with screen issues, so I consider myself lucky.

  • It doesn’t matter how many people are in the shot, it’s still a selfie if you’re taking it yourself. If someone else is taking it, then it’s just a photo. There’s no need for another term.

  • I am willing to bet this phone comes does not come with the Google Now Launcher but instead will have a skin on it.

    • The next motos will have the Google now launcher… Look up the leaks for the next Moto G and u will see a guy put the new Moto G up next to a Moto X 2014 and compare them. He turns the phone on and it is running stock Android. I told everybody that Moto wasn’t going to screw up the stock Android. And the most Lenovo can do to it is add a few of their own apps, keeping everything else stock. And the next Moto X is coming out in July, rashad. Moto flagships will be released in July from now on.

      • Yea, saw that via Wikipedia after asking.

        Here’s to hoping they do it at 5-5.2″ max screen size this year WITH wireless charging. Longshot, but I can wish.

          • I just ordered a 2nd gen black leather back 64gb $275, and will be selling my s7. Just can’t handle the lag anymore from touchwiz and I dont want a huge phone, hence the 2nd gen…but DAMN, I will miss wireless charging especially since my new truck has it built-in.

          • Get a freakin’ Nexus 5X. I dont give a rats ass what anyone says cuz that is a damn good phone that is well built and the best in the upper midrange. Ur list is too strict, there is no perfect smartphone.

          • Had one. Build quality was low at best and it’s LCD (which also, isn’t viewable in landscape wearing polarized glasses, literally black screen).

            There is no perfect phone, yes, I know that all too well as I switch phones every few months.

  • Seems like 3 smartphones. 5.3″, 5.5″ and 5.7″. Seems like next version of moto X play cuz that stand for battery and moto X style as 5.7″ and fingerprint sensor.

  • What a difference a year makes.
    Motorola went from being the lovable underdog to a somewhat hated afterthought.
    Horrible customer service and broken promises from Lenovo.

    • I think Motorola giving US now less priority. cuz before this year every time they release new phones first in US then in other countries but this time its different.

      You said that the HTC 10 isn’t worth its price on another website. Then you revealed that you bought an iPhone 6, so I asked why the iPhone 6 is worth its price according to you but the HTC 10 isn’t. Youve spent the last two weeks insisting that the iPhone IS worth its price and trying to come up with reasons why it is.

      Hmmm. Well well well. Guess what I’ve found? I wonder who said the following in another discussion on the internet?

      “Only Apple/Samsung can get away with the $649 & higher price tag and even their phones aren’t worth it”

      Well blow me, it was YOU who said that!!! Let’s just read that last bit again ‘THEIR PHONES ARENT WORTH IT’. Oh dear, epic fail by you. But that’s not all. You also said this in reaction to the iPhone 6’s release price:

      Strange things to be saying when youve spent the last two weeks telling me the iphone is most definitely worth its price and saying that I’M the one whos full of crap for saying it isnt worth any more than the HTC 10.
