Curious as to what’s all new in Android N as of today? As has been the case the past couple of years, Google tossed up a slide during the I/O keynote with new features in the shape of the newest version of Android to give us a good look.
Sure, a lot of this stuff we already knew about thanks to two developer previews before today’s release, but it’s still nice to see it all in one place.
See anything extra interesting?

Does upgrade to ‘N” remove hotspot feature on 6p verizon unlimited data? Really dont want to give them 30$$ per month lol
Nope. Still works fine on my 6P with the developer preview 3.
Thank you Very Much i am enjoying the free hotspot didnt want to update and lose it!!!
Video telephony? Do we have any more details on how that is going to work? Will it be integrated into the dialer, and will you be able to seamlessly transition from a voice call to video call? I can’t tell you how often my dad, who recently switched from an iPhone to a Nexus 6P, will call me and then immediately ask “How do I turn this into a FaceTime?” lol
Who’s got their 6P on this preview? Just got my 6P and enrolled in the beta and immediately got the update notification, but am hesitant to upgrade after seeing some people say Bluetooth is broken on N and stuff.
I don’t have the preview on my device but just reading comments, the bluetooth bug that everyone is complaining about has been fixed.
I have it on a 6P, bluetooth is fine for me.
3 Things:
1. Picture in Picture? Meaning I can run one app #1 full screen, then I can run app #2 in a little windows on top of app #1?
2. Split screen mode? Two apps side by side. Doesn’t Samsung already do that? That’s not already baked into android?
3. Lockscreen Wallpaper? I know HTC already does that with Sense because I have it on my M9. That’s not baked into android?
PIP is for Android TV and no for your last 2 questions, not native until now (weird right)?
Meh, most of N features are already in my APSP custom ROM
Accessibility mono output…YES! Finally!
What’s this for?
I assume changing from stereo to mono audio output? I know this is in iOS and I think some forked versions of Android
I assumed as much, just wondering why it would be needed.
If you’re deaf in one ear but still listening on a standard stereo system, it could be useful to have both speakers output mono. I’m just guessing though.
For those who are deaf in only 1 of the ear or are partial deaf in One and don’t like missing some sound just due to this fact
I have no freaking clue. lol
What’s Navigation drawer? I don’t know why that is standing out to me.
Redesign to the app drawer? Nah. Navigation bar is the buttons at the bottom (back/home/recents) – so… app launcher in the navigation drawer? Something like how we had that ring of options in kitkat if you had gravity box on root possibly?
“New languages supported” is on there twice
So nice they said it twice.
Restart in the power menu?

Nice nexus5 support <3
Notification for Android N Beta 3 received. Initiating upgrade… now!!!
A little disappointed in the lack of a battery percent option without having to go into the system tuner
Why? Who cares?
Because being able to see your exact battery percentage instead of a relative amount is handy?
You can see the the exact now, he just wants the option to turn it on in a different menu
Most of us like options. That is why we choose android.
Whats the option? Its the same setting just in a different menu. Its literally just where u go to tick the box!
If the option is there and easily accessible I don’t see the big deal
Thata my point, its already there
And where would that be? It is not under battery settings like it has always been.
Yup… Finally a Damn clear all button.
it wasn’t implemented correctly…noticed the demo showed the function at the “top of the recent apps” list. This is stupid to scroll all the way up to get to it. Most forked version have a button that appears just above the recents button when pressed. yes appreciated however.
They probably chose the top to reduce the chances of tapping it by accident
