Tomorrow, July 12, is Amazon Prime Day 2016. You probably know that, because Amazon won’t shut up about it. And rightfully so, as Amazon Prime Day is a day not unlike Black Friday, where Amazon slashes prices and offers a variety of discounts on thousands of items. All I can say is that I hope this year’s Prime Day is better than last year’s massively disappointing inaugural discount day.
Today, to help set expectations, Amazon released a list of Amazon Prime Day deals we should see tomorrow as a preview of sorts. The deals include a $50 discount on the Amazon Echo, $30 off the Fire TV, $15 off the Fire TV Stick, and $30 off the Kindle Paperwhite. The deals don’t all involve Amazon products, though. You will also see big ticket items like a Samsung curved 55-inch 4K TVs available for as little as $650. There will be lightning deals too, the ones that come and go as they sell through or reach the end of their allotted time, and special discounts should you order through Alexa viaย Amazon Echo (or Echo Dot or Tap).

In the mean time, you can learn more about Amazon Prime Day here.

Last year seemed junky yet they seemed to sell a lot. One man’s junk…
Pulled the trigger on the Samsung UN55KU6300 via Best Buy price match. Just going in the bedroom.
I’ll wait for BF…. only thing pressing I need is a 64gb micro SD card and here its only $4 off similar non Prime deals. Now if under $10, ok, but not for $4 off the average.
I don’t see the UN55KU6300 TV listed on their deals nor the upcoming.
Some Nexus 6P configurations being sold at a good discount for the time being… LINK
I’m so tempted to buy that, but damn if I was not going on vacation in 2 days.
That’s perfect! Prime shipping should get it to you just before you leave…
UN55KU6300 isn’t coming up for me
Amazon makes me work 60 hour work weeks for these kind of deals? Mannn I sure hope they’re better.
Any idea about the model number on that 5.1 sound bar? I couldn’t immediately find anything in the Prime Day link.
Had to do a double take. Thought that the article said save on the Amazon Paperweight, not Paperwhite. LOL
I really hope that the Raspberry Pi 3 is cheap tomorrow. I’d love to configure it with my HDHomeRun.
I am totally grabbing that tv, UN55KU6300. I was going to get the 50inch but this deal is sweet.
FYI best buy is running the same price as amazon.
Bad news:
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ku6300
its that cheap for a reason.
wouldnt call it bad news. im not expecting the worlds best tv but for $550 its a very solid tv. might have to see it in person
Really? That site has it listed as a second choice for best 55 inch between $750 and $1000, so for $550 it has to be pretty good! Yeah, it won’t match $1000+ 55 inch TVs, but who expected it to?
Fire tablet, “our best-selling tablet”, starting at just $33.33… whut?????
It’s the one that normally sells for $50. I think they had a 5-pack for $200 at one point.
I’ll be happy to get another Echo! $180 – $50 off – $10 “order-through-alexa-discount” – $30 discount for using my Amazon rewards Visa (crossing my fingers that I can get this one too) = $90; sounds pretty sweet to me
Anyone else the Amazon Prime for Canada after clicking on the link?
I was going to purchase two Kindle Paperwhites, so I’ll take the extra $10 on top of Amazon’s regular $20 off sales.
Looks like a garbage sale so far.
Not falling for it this year. Black Friday is much better.
I got 20% off of something fulfilled by the amazon warehouse already, saved me like $30 so I am stoked ๐
warehouse = used
Not true. Just about every item that’s shipped through Amazon Fulfillment is sent through the warehouse I work at. None of it is used, it’s just overstocked freight sent to the other fulfillment warehouses.
Usually deals on warehouse I would see used so maybe some aren’t
Very Meh so far… Those KU model TVs u arent exactly high end either. And that’s only $100 off their price at BB. Which is a typical TV sale.
It’s so nice of Amazon to screw over everyone in the Eastern time zone. 3am? Really? Would have been better if it would have started in the morning/afternoon, fair for all time zones in the US.
I’m not staying up until 3am just to take part in the 2nd annual crap show from Amazon.
Oh suck it up! Try being in the Pacific and EVERYTHING is based on eastern time.
Attainable goals? https://dicksbymail.com/
10AM football and big events ending at reasonable hours? Yes I’ll take it!
The last Prime Day wound up being little more than a garage sale of useless items, and one or two Amazon device deals that sell out immediately. I’m not holding my breath.
Yeah, last year’s Prime Day was an absolute joke with the items they had on sale. But I think (hope) they learned their lesson this time around because the negative feedback was everywhere.
Winner of last years “Prime Day” was Walmart! LOL
they’re starting their rebuttal of prime day up again lol
All those amazon refferal links ๐ it will be good day for DL admins ๐
