DEAL: Moto 360 Sport in White for Only $140

Over on Amazon, folks can find the Moto 360 Sport smartwatch in White, listed at a price of only $139.99. Originally launched with a price of $299, this dip seems like a solid discount for anyone looking to get into Android Wear.

The Sport model of the Moto 360 is suited towards those who are quite active, featuring a single silicone band that wraps around the watch. This band allows you to sweat all over it, perfect for you heavy perspirers. The watch comes with GPS tracking, an AnyLight display, and should see the upcoming Android Wear 2.0 update.

If White isn’t your thing, and maybe you’re cool with spending a bit more, the Black model can be had for $199, while the Flame color is listed for $167.

Sound good?

      • Think the Verizon one has a bigger battery. If I’m not mistaken it also comes with Verizon cellular connectivity if you have Verizon and want to add it to your plan.

  • Me? Perspire? Why you say that? I dont perspire! Why do you think I perspire? Do I smell bad? Why does everybody always think I perspire? I dont perspire, never perspired. You got a cigarette? My sweat put this one out.

  • Mine has never picked up any lint, however, the watch is a piece of crap. The silicone band broke and the steps count is beyond inaccurate. My Fitbit read 8795 steps & the Moto showed 5380. This is a daily inconsistency. It does register accurately when I do a run & syncs to my Fitbit so I am only using it for that. I’m very disappointed since I paid full price for it.

    • I’ve found that FitBits always over exaggerate. I get the same disparity from a fit bit and my Apple Watch.

      • I have used my Fitbit for five years so I know that my steps are accurate. I also compared it to my Garmin & they matched. So far today I have walked the dogs, mowed the front lawn, vacuumed, done laundry. My Fitbit registers 3631 steps. The Moto says 542 steps. Piece of junk.

  • I bought the Garmin Fenix 3 hr last Tuesday. It looks like I’ll get 1 week on a charge, plus way better fitness info. Well worth the money.

And an added bonus…it’s not a Motorola!

    • I have a vívoactive HR and couldn’t be happier. Garmin really are the best in the fitness wearable segment right now.

  • I love my Sport. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and having a sunlight-readable, waterproof watch is crucial for me. I could give a crap how it looks, lint-magnet that it is. I’m happy that I can use it as a watch and notification system — outside, no matter the weather. My friends with the Apple Watch — they have to baby the thing. Uggggh! I’ve smashed my Moto 360 Sport against rocks, bicycled through hours-long rainstorms, ATV’ed through rivers, jumped into pools, etc — and like a Timex, it just keeps ticking.

  • Once this hits $100 I’ll be on it for an “active” android wear watch. I wouldn’t consider it for a primary though.

  • I got the black one a few months back on Amazon for $120. That thing picked up lint and dust like no other. Ended up returning it since I didn’t use it as much as I thought I would.

    • this is very disappointing to hear. i work with machinery and i would hate to have it pick up crap everywhere

  • I’ve been looking for a gps watch to run with while streaming music to bluetooth headphones. I’ve read that people had a lot of issues with the music playback not working well on the 360 sport while running though. Does anyone have one? This still an issue?

    • Yeah. Still lots of issues. My wife is on her fourth warranty replacement for what seems like a very common issue reading around the forums. GPS is also pretty finicky.

Do not recommend. Even at this reduced price.

The Gear Fit 2 will be a much better bet for you. I hear there are still some weird limitations for non-Samsung phones (which is why I’d never buy it), but it’s the best fitness band/watch that can act as a BT host and store music.

      • That sucks – seems like it would be the perfect watch for me if it just worked as advertised. Appreciate the heads up!

      • I jumped to the Gear Fit 2 after my watch broke. Actually a nifty little device. 2-3 day battery life, pretty good screen, and all the fitness tracking capabilities I need including Hiking and Rowing. Links to Runkeeper. Also has actionable notifications. Overall, i’m pretty pleased with it.

        • Yes, I’ve heard great things! I personally don’t need to store music, so I am quite happy with my vivosmart HR+. I can now say I’ve heard even more praise for the Fit 2 though. Glad it’s working for you!

        • Agreed. You get the best of both worlds and longer battery life than your usual smart watch. I love mines!

    • Sony smartwatch 3. Works perfect for you’re looking to accomplish. I say that because I use it for that almost every day. GPS isn’t the best though. Gear fit 2 is worth a look but not sure that is much better. I had it for a day and maybe I didn’t give it much a chance, but gps took just as long as my sony to catch on. immediate turn off for me as it didn’t seem to be even improved.

      • I had a smartwatch 3 for about a month, but had too many issues with the gps. It would cut out a mile or two into my run and just quit. Might have to give the Gear Fit 2 a look though.

        • Yeah I gotta agree with you on that. I’m sure the fit 2 is better , I just had hoped it would lock on right away and it didn’t. I would of still kept the fit 2 but I miss voice replies and actions.

    • I have been using it for just this since it came out and it works great. Maybe had issues a hand full of times and i run a few times a week. I use the jaybird freedom sprint headphones. Just need the watch on the right wrist and works great.
