Tim

Stumbling upon Droid Life randomly after purchasing a Motorola DROID in late 2009, then setting out to learn everything he could about Android, Tim quickly became an integral part of the site's comment section. After quite some time of strictly commenting on Droid Life, Tim was offered an opportunity to write feature stories for the site, such as custom ROM overviews, as well as interviews with Android community members. Following success of those, Tim became a full time writer and editor for Droid Life, now spending his time on news articles, device reviews, producing videos, and much more. Tim currently resides in Portland, OR with his longtime girlfriend and two wonderful dog children (Loki & Thor). In his spare time, Tim enjoys playing guitar, drinking coffee, practicing photography, and destroying kids on Call of Duty.

Moto Z Play Review

For the Moto Z Play, being a mid-range phone that we wouldn’t typically review,…

  • Why does twitter even exist? I still dont see what niche it fills or what value it provides. Just let it die already.

  • I have twtr stocks so the more buyers the merrier this xmas will be for me. I don’t care who buys it since I don’t even use it. Though to me it seems to make more sense for an entertainment company to buy them than a technical company. You mainly hear about twitter because someone well known or notorious tweets something or they are streaming some event. Beyond that its not really ground breaking. So I think Disney, the NFL, ESPN, warner bros and every other movie studio and sporting franchise should throw a bid in there. lol.

  • I hate cheaters, my fiancee never gave me a reason to be suspicious until i found him and her colleague at a romantic restaurant. he told me it was work stuff but something wasn’t right. i was worried until i was introduced to allhacking08@gmailcom who hacked his phone and text so i can find out the truth. allhacking08@gmail.com made it possible to track his movement and location. he hacked her facebook, aol email. now lets say i have no doubt he was cheating. Email him he can help you.

      • The company barely makes a profit. I think Twitter themselves made up this rumor, so that they could increase their stock prices and also the fact for years they have been losing way more subscribers. Than they have had people joining.

      • It’s a great company for people who need a safe space, for social justice wussies who can’t stand to hear the truth and for those who hate the first amendment, the second amendment, actually the entire constitution. Oh and let’s not forget those who hate Christianity and those who don’t believe Islamic terrorism exists. They will die, the share holders will be left with nothing.

  • Google+/twitter merge. Soon Google will have so much data from us that they will be able to create virtual clones of us that speak and think just like us.

  • Google appetite for user data is something fierce, I bet they are drooling over the fact they could get the drop on even more people, to strengthen their ads platform. Can’t tell how many times my phone has been listening to my casual conversations and pushing ads to me relevant to the topics Ive been discussing. Scary.

  • Twitter already have the best search in the game and google have really bad ideas about social. I hope they don’t sell

  • NONE of those companies are any good, especially Google. Twitter has been getting worse, either of those companies would probably completely ruin it.

  • Google buys twitter and introduces Twitter messenger! Download a separate app and message all your twitter followers/profiles you follow.

    • S: 40 Characters
      M: 80 Characters
      L: 140 Characters
      XL: 200 Characters

“We’re not going to offer unlimited length tweets, who would ever want that?”

  • Google would make a new app called ‘Gwitter.’ When you tweeted it would ask all your followers to install the new app. But the tweet would come from a random user and look a lot like a spam tweet.

  • Cmon Google, drop them B’s on it and add it to the port folio. Twitter has potential. Google has the infrastructure and verticals to monetize it better. Verizon would destroy it, they are busy conjuring up 1990’s platforms anyways.

  • Verizon buying it might be a red flag to the FCC. Especially if they made it not count against your data. So that is probably never going to be approved. Google seems more likely. I would like to see it be less anonymous.

    • Less anonymous? The anonymity makes it a huge plus over the other networks. I don’t need my employer reading my political views.

  • As a daily Salesforce user, it would benefit them the most. They use “chatter” which is very very similar to Twitter and it could make their enterprise offerings that much more enticing.

    • Kill Salesforce because they can’t turn a profit.
Marry Google so I can maybe make some changes.
No other option but to stick it to Verizon for all the times they did it to me!

      • Google is paying 97$ per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !mj55d:

  • Google would create a crappy app for it, then forget it and move on. Verizon would just destroy it.
