  • Why is everyone so up in arms about this phone? If they dont want to sell it to you then let it go and buy something else.

  • How could LG have gotten beat by the Note 7 two times? Verizon been selling fixed units for about a week now. That was LG’s window of opportunity.

  • Kind of perplexed on why people are harping on the release date. The V10 was launched around the middle to end of October in the USA last year. LG seems to be following the same route this year. Apple and Samsung have their respective release schedule every year that is the same. Nobody predicted the Note 7 debacle so it’s not really fair to say LG should have released it sooner.

    • LG made a big stink about the first handset available with Nought standard. I think the new Pixel handsets will definitely beat the V20 in domestic availability.

Marketing/branding has never been an LG strong suit, especially compared to Samsung. LG still seems to NOT understand marketing & distribution. In many ways it’s like there still remnants of the rinky-dink Goldstar brand flogging cheap VCRs at Sears 30 years ago.

      • Remember, domestic market to LG is South Korea, not U.S. It doesn’t matter where they are starting to sell V20. It still is the 1st phone with Nougat out of the box.

  • LG really screwed up with the V20. With the Note 7 having battery issues, they really could have exploited this and bring in new customers who wanted to ditch their Note 7. Then, they had tons of advertising all over social media but had ZERO information on when the phone would be announced. Don’t advertise a product and touting all it’s features, without telling customers how/when they can get it.

  • Didnt you guys call this? “First with Nougat out of the box but they probably don’t mean in the US”… I think you guys did say that on a podcast

    • We may have, but a lot of people probably did too. LG needed a big selling feature to the nerd crowd and having Nougat first is a good one. Too bad it’s not really that big of a deal and the other super nerd features they baked in are the real selling points. I guess maybe those don’t translate well to non nerds. So many nerds.
