Notice your photo of the car charger is actually different than the one being sold behind that link… The USB 3 port in particular.
So I’m a little confused with charging tech. I have an anker dual port quick car charger that I purchased with one of these discounts that will not quick charge my galaxy s8. Why would it quick charge my s6 but not s8? And also will this quick charge the s8?
I’m sure this is kind of obvious, but will a 3.0 QC car charger charge my Pixel faster than my current 2.0 QC? I’m assuming it will, but wasn’t sure if it’s worth replacing it or not.
Pixel does not support QC3.0, it supports USB-C PD. I believe this should deliver the 5V 3A required for Type C PD but I cannot verify. Also the reviews for his unit say that it will cause a Pixel to not longer charg with any other charger until you reboot. I have held off on purchasing one until they figure out why.
I’ve read that review and just think his Pixel or charger is defective. It’s the only one I’ve seen on Amazon.
The problem most people are having with this charger is that they are using Aukey USB cables and getting mad that they’re devices aren’t fast charging or are upset that it doesn’t come with cables (?)…. Meanwhile:

A little research goes a long way. looking forward to getting mine.
Thats because they are USB A to C, in order to get rapid charging you need a C to C cable like the stock charger. USB A is limited to 2.4A not the 3A that rapid charging requires.
Just get this one for your Pixel: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7RB1XU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Cheap and has worked great for my 6P; shows up as “charging rapidly” so it’s just as fast as the USB-C PD charger that comes with the phone.
Looks like I’ll be ordering one of those. Thanks for help!
I’ve been charging my pixel with that car charger since day one. Plug it into the orange port and it will say charging rapidly.
Been waiting on a drop on that car charger. Can’t wait til it arrives
