YouTube TV has expanded to 10 new markets this morning and is now available to a whole bunch of new customers.
The new markets include Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Orland-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, Phoenix, and Washington DC. Those markets join Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, the original group.
If you live in one of those new areas, you can sign-up at tv.youtube.com.

what about for in india? can we benefit this or now?
The one channel I REALLY wanted live, which my antenna doesn’t get good reception on, is CW. Nope. On Demand version only. *sigh – Phoenix
Is the only way to use this with Android TV to cast? Why did google not make a native app!?
Is the only way to use this with Android TV to cast? Why is there no native android tv app?
No NFL Network, No MLB Network, No NHL Network, No NBA TV, No CNN (At least in ATL) and some other basics missing BUT we get the major local stations which seem to be missing from most of the other streaming services…. but man no NFL Network is killer
If I signed up for YoutubeTV while in DC on business (live in Tampa), would I then be able to receive the DC networks? This would be amazing as I could watch my Washington sports teams without packages. Anyone try this?
Shield TV app please!
Only service with all the “local” channels (Atlanta channels, 70 miles away, not Macon, 30 miles away). Great sports channel selection, too. Only gripes–no Turner Classic Movies, no Hallmark Mysteries, no History Channel.
Macon is a very small market. Maybe 200,000 in its metro. They are way down the priority list of cities to be in.
for anyone who has done these kind of services, looking for advice.
i dont like the idea of using my phone to control anything. anyone using these services with a solid remote controller replacement? not as crazy as what comes with like Fios or comcast but something with the same kind of general idea and feel?
Fire stick or Roku
Google says they’re going to give me a free Chromecast in a couple days. Probably just going to stick with it and save some money getting away from Comcast cable.
Just need them to expand to Shield TV, then I’ll get back on the service.
exactly, put this on the nVidia Shield TV and I will give them a shot.
Still no Boston?. . . SHAME.
I just get an “uh oh” when I try and sign up.
Same here, just download the app and it will work for you.
Surprised to see it say all the local channels are available in my area. I have PS Vue right now and no streaming service offers ABC or NBC live, only on demand. Curious if YTTV truly does get all the local channels and whether the other streaming services will follow soon.
Finally. I’m in Phoenix so im happy that it’s here. Paid for sling for 2 months for the free Roku so I have to wait.
I’m waiting for this to match the amount of channels directTV now has and I’m gone!
That, and a Roku app. I don’t want to have to cast everything to watch TV, that will get old quick and won’t work for other members of the household. DTVNow has been pretty good so far on Roku. Decent channel lineup even at the lowest $35 tier.
This is true, but I have att, so it doesn’t slow down, plus I got the 100 channel deal at the beginning for $35. I am extremely happy for the overall service.
I was on directTV now and it was terrible. We had all kinds of streaming issues, and no, it wasn’t our internet. YoutubeTV is pretty awesome, lite on channels, but way better overall.
Are you sure you aren’t using boost Mobile?????
We are actually… JK, on Comcast.
Been using Fire stick and happy overall… now I can’t decide between waiting for the DVR feature or pay for playon
Not sure why Orlando seems to get priority over Tampa on these types of things. Tampa is larger market. Larger than Miami too.
New York (#1)
Los Angeles (#2)
Chicago (#3)
Philadelphia (#4)
Dallas-Fort Worth (#5)
San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose (#6)
Washington, D.C. (Hagerstown) (#7)
Houston (#8)
Boston (Manchester) (#9)
Atlanta (#10)
Tampa-St. Petersburg (Sarasota) (#11)
Phoenix (Prescott) (#12)
Detroit (#13)
Seattle-Tacoma (#14)
Minneapolis-St. Paul (#15)
Miami-Fort Lauderdale (#16)
Denver (#17)
Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne (#18)
Because YouTube TV only releases when the locals of CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox are all signed up. Orlando and Miami are signed up; whereas, this is not the case for Tampa.
Too bad here in DFW with YT TV, ABC is on demand only, not live.
So I wouldn’t called that ALL the channels as Jeff Badger claims. So my original question still stands
There’s more tech, money, and bigger companies in Orlando, over Tampa. And I’m wondering why they are slow to get the Seattle area. Everyone is waiting to jump on this.
So. I assume Google wants PAYING CUSTOMERS of which Tampa has more.
Hagerstown is not remotely close to the DC area. They’re practically Pennsylvania.
I know ads keep the lights on and I totally support it, but does it have to be pop ups before we get to the article?
I was hoping Nashville would be quick to get it with us having fiber. Guess not. 🙁
what does that have to do with anything?
I could just as easily paste that up there on your comment. When you hope/want for something… you grasp at straws for something to make it seem likely.
My comment was a legit question. I’m not sure with having Google fiber has to do with this product,
