The Moto G5 Plus (our review) is a budget-friendly phone that performs closer to a high-end phone. It’s a good phone first, but when you factor in the reasonable price, it becomes a steal and a phone anyone without $700 to blow on a phone should consider. And then days like today happen, where Amazon drops the price by $50 to give us the best Moto G5 Plus deal we’ve seen.
At $50 off, you’ll pay just $179.99 for the Moto G5 Plus with 32GB storage an 2GB RAM. Keep in mind that this is the clean version, not the Amazon ad-filled version. Also, at $179.99, it’s $5 cheaper than the same model with Amazon ads.
To recap, the Moto G5 Plus at this price point features a 5.2-inch FHD display, 32GB storage (with SD slot), 2GB RAM, 3000mAh battery, 12MP f/1.7 rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2GHz Snapdragon 625 processor (the king!), fingerprint reader, water repellent coating, and 4G LTE access on all major US carriers, including Verizon. It does not have an NFC chip, though, so Android Pay is a no go.
We aren’t sure how long this deal will last. Prime shipping is included.
Cheers Craig!
Picked this up for the wife since her 5X just went to crap. For some reason, Amazon decided to send us 2! 😀
Had this phone for a month, then got a spiderweb shatter on the rear camera cover glass. No other phone I’ve owned has been so fragile. Cost to repair $200. Cost of phone $300. Phooey.
Just missing USB-C, NFC, and OLED. Ya hear, Lenovo? Give us those with the G6 or X4 at a reasonable price, please! Bigger battery too would always be nice.
Too bad this deal is already over. Checked it when this deal first started a day or two ago and it was sold out. Now it’s back but the deal is already over.
I just got the 64gb version. VoLTE doesn’t work. You have to turn it off in order to hear calls correctly. I hope this gets fixed, but it’s well documented on Lenovo forums.
Other than that- solid phone.
Are you on Verizon?
Considering getting this as an upgrade from my Moto G4 but I have to have volte for calls where I’m at..
Oops, yes I’m on Verizon. Here’s lots of pages on it

When I first checked the deal it was listed for $179.99. However I just checked it again and it is back to normal price. So the deal is over for now…..
Showing 229.99 for me as well. This deal already end?
Price is showing $229.99 for me now. If only this had NFC. I am desperate to replace my busted up G3, just need to hold out a tiny bit longer for new Pixel / Note 8.
I bought this phone to get my Android fix from Best Buy a few months back. Would recommend it to anyone. Never stuttered or lagged on me. Camera was good during the day, evening not so much. I thought it was way under priced back then. This seems like a steal.
