T-Mobile is currently hosting a promo, offering buyers of the newly launched LG V30 to get a second V30 device at $500 off. There are a few requirements, but that’s nothing new for deals such as this.
To lay it out as simply as possible, folks will need to purchase two V30 devices on an EIP (equipment installment plan) agreement and activate a 2nd line. Then, once you have your phones, enter in your purchase details on T-Mobile’s promotion website, then you’ll receive a prepaid MasterCard with a value of up $500.
There are a few more ways you can utilize this promo, but we’ll let T-Mobile explain.
T-Mobile customers can mix and match this offer and get up to $500 back on the equal or lower cost device. In other words, that’s $500 MORE you’ll have to spend on all things pumpkin spice this October.
And, if you’ve been thinking about taking home a tablet, now is the time! Un-carrier customers can combine this offer and get a G Pad X or G Pad X2 PLUS on us when activated on EIP with a qualifying rate plan.
For pricing the LG V30 is listed at $80 down and $30/month with a full retail price of $800.
It’s not quite a BOGO deal, but it is a BOGOF500O deal. Still, not bad. Follow the link below to get started.

So I pre ordered 2 Lg V30s on Oct 5th from T-Mobile and i activated 2 new lines. When I saw this promo yesterday I started doing research on if I would be eligible. From what I gathered on The promo site it states that pre sale customers would be eligible. Well after talking to 4 representatives i was told I am not eligible and the only way I would receive this promo is by returning my device under the buyers remorse policy, which includes a $50 restocking fee per device, and re buying the devices. Even though I meet all requirements they do not want to give me this promo unless I pay $100 to return the devices and start the process of getting a new phone all over again.
That sucks, but I would do it if that’s the only way.
I would go to multiple Tmobile stores and ask them, eventually you might find a salesman who will give you the deal.
It’s really $500 back two months after you purchase it not $500 off, you still have to pay for both devices up front.
At a $325 mastercard gift card from Tmobile when bringing over a Pixel 2 XL, that makes the Pixel 2 XL actually cheaper at $850 each, with $325 gift card bringing the total down to $525 each or $1050, instead of $1100 for 2x V30’s.
That being said, the V30 is arguably a better hardware package, although the camera is reportedly worse in extreme low light, locked bootloader on the V30, and no guarantee of Project Trebel/reasonable update speed. I just wish the Pixel2XL had wireless charging OR a 3.5mm jack… we should be able to get one of those…
You should be able to get both.
Pre-ordered the 2XL and after seeing it in store at VZW today, I’m excited. But I’m also starting to doubt the decision after having seen them both now in the store. The V30 is smaller with the same size display has the dual camera and not the Pixel’s godly camera but also includes: SD card support, Quad DAC, and wireless charging. The 2XL has front facing speakers (and they were loud if a bit tinny sounding), but the V30s down firing speaker was fine inside the store. And its cheaper. I’m really liking what LG has done with the V30 this year.
I looked at both today as well. I really don’t like the weird bubble screen on the 2XL and am even contemplating the Pixel 2. The V30 felt almost perfect, but I have a G4 now and really want to go back to stock android.
It isn’t even worth 2$ considering the locked bootloader.
exactly.
I recently made my decision between all these new phones, and decided to go Note 8 64gb deepsea blue with exynosbootloader unlock, given that this is probably the last samsung phone with exynos and unlocked bootloader, i figure i enjoy the good times before i’m forced to enjoy it (or lack of, can explain why i’m angry with google for the nexus 6p) on Pixel or Oneplus series.
Edit: Resale will be valuable because the color isn’t offered in the US and the unlocked bootloader will be valuable on swappa
Paid 840$
Granted someone wants that color.
based on what? your opinion?
Haven’t quite had my G6 for two months. But between black friday and end of the year deals, hoping to “Jump” on the V30 at some point.
Man every deal on T-mobile is add a line.
i know im currently on the 2 lines 100 $ plan with my paid off pixels xl, and i dont need an extra line at all. This blows.
Yea me and my wife have the same plan and don’t have any kids so we won’t be adding a line for quite some time so none of the deals we are eligible for.
You can add a line then cancel when it gets approved if you are on 2 for $100 with T-mobile One it will just be $10 per month if you turn on kickback and keep usage low
They gotta make up that $500, adding a line is the only way to do so.
If you are a JoD customer, it’s 0 down for well qualified customers. You only pay shipping+ taxes on shipping.
Come on, LG- do a BOGO for $500 per phone without TMobile’s approval. You know, for old time’s sake…
“For pricing the LG V30 is listed at $80 down and $30/month”
Is that all you have to pay is 80 bucks? No phone tax or anything? I know they say “taxes included” and all but I’m just curious. I might be picking one up later today.
You still have to pay the phone tax. 24 months x $30 = $720. Add the $80 down equals $800.
Thanks. I just went to the T-Mobile site and went through the check out process to see what I would have to pay. $148. Not too bad.
This is making me doubt the Pixel2…
That wide angle lens is really attractive, as is the IP68, micro-sd expansion & immediate availability.
k..
l…
Ahhhh ill just wait till black friday and see whats brewing then. Im enticed to test it out though on the JOD program but we shall see.
