I use this very product and it works BRILLIANTLY. I have a Note 4, and use NFC fairly regularly as a payment method. I didn’t even want to try to see if the NFC works through my case and the magnet, so I took a pair of tin snips to the magnet and mounted it in my case on either side of my camera housing. Don’t use the plate. Galaxy S7 and S8 don’t need the plate.
If you have a case, stick the plate onto the inside of the case instead.
