Forget 3D renderings, want to see real images of the HTC U11 Plus? These images were pulled from TENAA, a telecommunications certification group in China (like the FCC), and show the device from almost all angles. It most definitely matches up to those renders I just mentioned too.
The listing from TENAA doesn’t provide anything outside of these pictures, but as you probably realize, this is an HTC phone that doesn’t actually exist yet or hasn’t been announced. Its design, display style, and the placement of its fingerprint reader all are as has been reported. This is the U11 Plus, y’all.
I brightened up the images a tad to reveal more of the phone. As you can see, there are no front buttons, so this phone will sport an all-display front while the fingerprint reader moves to the back. Like the Pixel 2, HTC also has chosen to stick with a single camera rather than jump on the dual-camera train. I don’t think that’s a bad thing knowing that the U11 had one of 2017’s best cameras – I’d imagine that’ll be the case here too.
Other reports peg that display at 6-inches, alongside 64GB or 128GB storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, Snapdragon 835, and IP68 water and dust resistance. None of that is confirmed, of course.
Will HTC unveil this phone on November 2? We sure hope so.

Headphone jack?
Only reason I returned my U11 was because of the insane trade in sale for the S8+. Regretted it almost instantly and sold the S8+ a few weeks later. I just wish there was an option for a back that didn’t smudge as easily. Even if this phone isn’t on someone’s radar, it might mean a price drop on the U11 down to $499 which would be very tempting.
But what about wireless charging?
I can’t believe this article suggested HTC is jumping on a bandwagon. HTC was one of the early pioneers of smartphones with dual cameras. Just because they weren’t that good doesn’t mean they don’t count.
Wasted resources
Looks alright. I’m a big htc fan but it’s also time they updated sense UI. Especially the icons.
That’s why DL has all those HOT icon pack posts 😉
HOOOOOOT
HTC couldn’t get rid of bezels so Google went with LG for pixel 2. HTC hasn’t put a fingerprint reader on the back in a while. This sounds like the leftover of what could have been the 2XL and HTC decided to release it since most of the engineering was done. Slap a glass back on the top quarter of the phone and see pixel 2 xl by htc.
Nice!
With the lack of anything from the FCC so far, would it be a safe assumption that they’re skipping a release here in the US? (Which would be unfortunate as this is my Plan B if I don’t love the Pixel 2 XL.)
I wouldn’t be surprised if the FCC info was released this week. The phone is still a week and a half out from it’s official unveiling.
Sux about the pixel 2XL LG v30 screen, and If this thing is real, and works with T-Mobile’s new band 71. It will be MINE!
Typing this on my pixel 2 XL and the screen is wonderful. People need to get off the fake media bus
And I have the V30, also very nice. People go nuts and start repeating what they read.
I admit it almost shook me up and made me think about returning it. But after I calmed down and began looking, I just can’t see any issue with my V30.
I recommend that if you were interested in either the V30 or the Pixel XL to examine both phones in hand before making a decision against them. Because you may end up buying one of them.
How is the signal/reception on the V30? My wife and I are looking at the V30 (or maybe this U11 Plus when it comes out) but we have been less than impressed with Samsung antennas compared to our old Motorola phones. Can you provide any insight/comparisons that might help us out? Thank you very much.
Agreed. Reviews are saying that it’s hard to see anything wrong with it unless you set it side by side a Samsung. Even then it’s not a deal breaker.
It’s not fake media though. You’re just deciding that it’s not an issue for you. For others it likely can be even spending $900+
It’s not fake. It’s a pretty well-established fact that some people just happen to fine with because the display isn’t as big a deal to them.
Please be my knight in shining armor. NO to Samsung, NO to V30 bad screen and tiny camera sensor, NO to Pixel 2 XL bad screen and $900 price.
Probably gonna be $700+
$850+
My Pixel 2 XL screen looks great ????
I bet it does. ????????
This phone needs those tiny V30 like bezels or it’s going to be huge. Maybe next year when slim bezel OLED displays are more widely available. I’d certainly give it a look, my HTC One M7 was one of my favorite phones of all time.
The V30 camera is pretty damn good and the screen isn’t “bad” it’s just not as good as Samsung which is hard to beat anyway. I agree about the blanket statement on Samsung tho I’m never buying one again. As for the Pixel 2 I’m more interested in the 5″ since 441ppi is still awesome.
Just say no to anything worth money of course you will. Being a bargain basement group discount buyer is pretty sad. HTC will never matter on the Android platform ever again its over for them.
I think you’ll wait for this one ???? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5kCZrwmP-U
Uhh…If it has OLED it will mostly likely by Samsung. Come to think of it. it will have Samsung manufactured APU, dram and Flash memory, too. There’s no escape.
I just found out it will have 18:9 aspect ratio display, which means LG.

3830 mAh battery, eh? I wonder if that’s the actual capacity or just a “typical” number being thrown.
Yup, TENAA always say typical instead of capacity…
and very likely “capacity” = 4000mAh…
5.5″ 2560×1440 IPS? Other reports stated 6″ which I was figuring would be the same screen as the Pixel and LG V30. Interested in this phone but will require a full purchase
I also say samething…but don’t ask me why TENAA said 5.5″ QHD…^^
