With save the dates and unofficial multi-angle looks already out there, we’re pretty confident HTC is announcing the U11 Plus on November 2. In a teaser tweet from late last night, the company gave us an actual look at the device’s backside, complete with rear-facing fingerprint reader and single backside camera.
In the tweet, HTC says that we’ll “see it all” on November 2. Not only are they referring to us seeing the new phone, but we believe this is a play on the theory that the U11 Plus will have a front display with minimal bezel. Think along the lines of Pixel 2 XL and LG V30.
November 2 is right around the corner.
You’ll see it all on 11.02.2017. pic.twitter.com/vzYtKVdjK5

Cautiously optimistic. Based on the U11’s battery life, if this thing really does have a 4000 mah battery… Oh my!
Loved the U11 other than the fingerprints and slightly too high price (even with the pre-order $50 off). HTC doesn’t know how to price their devices to market them better than competitors. I don’t see the Plus model being under $750.
HTC has always had a pricing problem. But that’s not the worst of it. Their carrier distrabution sucks along with not knowing how to market a phone. The 11 & plus are excellent phones but when you can’t get them in the hands of consumer’s what happens, failure. It’s a very sad story! Their CEO Cher Wang and upper management need to get the ax. Until that happens the song remains the same!
Will it bend just as easily as the U11?

Depends.. How many pounds did it take? oh.. There’s no gauge on the force he’s putting out? And he doesn’t like HTC.. Well, guess thats kinda an irrelevant test.
Kinda weird to think I have never bent a single phone in my entire life. Also yes… an object with pressure put in the center of the device will bend. With a test that has no empirical data it’s useless at best. Purposely misleading and slanderous at worst.
I am so excited for this you don’t even know, I’ve been waiting for HTC to come with something big, I’ve always been a huge HTC fan.
If only they would put stock (or near stock) Android on their phones, I’d be delighted.
its already near stock android on htc phones.
Is that a design on the back or is HTC playing around with transparent materials in order to “see it all”?
They probably refer to all the fingerprints we’ll see all over the phone
Thats a hint that it has wireless charging. It’s the coil.
YES. Someone gets it!
Wireless charging. Big battery. Awesome screen. Awesome camera. Awesome audio. Dat squeeze. Device of the year.
absolutely NO WAY this is going to be “the device of the year” (2017?).
WRONG. Its the followup to the already device of the year, the u11.
Here in the US if this phone is only handled by 1 carrier it will suffer the same fate as the 10 & 11, the best phone no one is buying! It’s a damn shame it is a very good phone!
It really is that simple. They just need to do it.
Is there anyone else left that hasn’t gotten an Essential, iPhone, Pixel 2, V30, or Note 8 or who will just wait for the 5T?
Moto also has some nice offerings.
Hilarious
How so?
I’m sure it’ll be supported longer.
Possibly, but the camera looks 2013ish
And Moto’s cameras are much better? HA!
Now that you mention it, I’m eyeing the Sony Xperia XZ1.
If the XL2 disappoints me when i receive it in a couple weeks, i may return it and pick up a U11 Plus instead.
I am looking forward to this one because I just returned my 2XL.
I’m waiting for this one ???? https://youtu.be/KsViLVC14XI
thats nice, enjoy your chinese garbage.
Definitely NOT an official trailer.
Just watch out for the crazy extensive Oneplus data mining situation. Anytime my data is being sent to some nondescript server somewhere in China a al Lenovo and all others, that’s it for me :-/
Wanted the XL2 but there’s too many issues, enough to wait on the normal Pixel another few weeks. Never interested in the V30 due to the LG Software, Essential just lowered the price so it’s a possibility but I’m waiting til they announce this, I’m on Verizon so OnePlus won’t work, and I’m never buying a Samsung again.
Agree on all counts. Every Samsung device I’ve owned suffered a broken charging port.
Looks like it might have wireless charging too
Evan thinks HTC is just going to release the Ocean Life, not the U11 Plus. Guess we’ll see.
This says otherwise.
Yes, it does.
Based on the renders leaked by OnLeaks that I seen I think the HTC U+ is the best looking of the phones compared to the LG V30 and the Pixel XL. Why couldn’t HTC do this with the Pixels?
I’m VERY curious about this device but there’s still been no FCC filing that I’ve noticed and HTC USA hasn’t made any mention of this announcement whatsoever. ????
fcc won’t come until closer to actual release. It will already be announced at that point.
