I’ve been waiting a solid year since CES 2017 to hear about NVIDIA SPOT availability, but at this point (one year later), I don’t think it’s coming. With Google Home Mini now out for just $35, it does everything a SPOT would’ve done, but has a full blown speaker and Google directly backing it. Let’s face it, Google Home Mini rocks and is probably more practical than SPOT.
The only part about SPOT that still has me wanting one is the ability to plug it directly into an outlet, without the need for a long cord. Currently, the only Home Mini I have setup is in my master bathroom with a cord going behind my sink for it to sit in the middle of a dual vanity. It’s not exactly dangerous to do this, since water won’t penetrate the cable, but still, it’d be nice to not have to deal with the cable. I could just wind the cable up, but then I’ve got a massive wad of cable sitting next to my sink.
I’m just over it, folks — I want something innovative!

i only see the listing for the black colored one but in the amazon photos they clearly has a white version. anyone know how to buy that one?
I bought a white one a few weeks back. Went find my link but it brings you to the black. They’re probably just out and will make it available again when stock comes in.
I bought a white version last night. Now, however, I see you are right; the white listing is missing. It is rather odd that the white listing is deleted altogether and not just shown as Out of Stock.

Quality isn’t bad at medium volume.
No, they are not a Sonos, but at $30-50 each, you can get a whole home audio system that will get you sound everywhere, and with the new broadcast command its a whole home intercom as well.
meh it’s not terrible. also, they sound much better when there are 3-4 of them playing together

He also makes a version like this for Google Home Mini. I have two of them installed in my house now. Along with two more of the mounts that take up the outlet. My wife LOVES them. She hated the cords running along the counters.
