An OTA is being pushed out to the LG V20 on T-Mobile this week, labeled as version H91810s.
Without an official changelog from T-Mobile, we presume it is the January, 2018 monthly security patch. Sprint V20 units received this update earlier this week according to users on reddit, so our money is on that.
The only change T-Mobile lists on its support site is “Security update.” Yes, very helpful, T-Mobile.
Update: Verizon’s LG G6 and Moto Z2 Force are also receiving updates, with the G6 getting December, 2017’s security patch (Krack security patch) and the Moto Z2 Force receiving January’s (Spectre and Meltdown patch). Those OTAs should be rolling out to all owners right now.

My TMobile V30 just received the security update.
My G6 received the update now proudly rolling December Security patch but Oreo is still off in the distance I think I can see it with a good set of binoculars but at this point that could be a mirage.
curious is your G6 bought threw a carrier or yours an unlocked version. I’ve got an unlcoked G6 running on VZW and just got the Jan security OTA

that is strange to say the least & sucks its still behind at that. Makes no sense for LG to do that, but then again working with carrier updates is always a pain. Prime example of why I’ve given up buying carrier devices and just buy unlocked.

No update yet on my T-Mobile v20… Still waiting to update from nougat to Oreo as well. Unless LG gets their act together this year, this will be my last pixel phone as well. Their patch record has been abysmal.

Are you kidding me LG? I have a flagship, and you update the phone I had previously, to January, while my V30 is still on October’s security patch? Last LG phone I will ever own. Samsung or Pixel. Hello! ????

Yep. I got it yesterday morning as well. I read there was supposed to be a new wireless charging indicator and a new wireless charging sound but I don’t think that’s the case. Too bad.
Samsung will not treat you much better they are horrible at updating their devices once they get past the first few months. Pixel would definitely be the better choice there if updates are that important to you.
The funny thing is, they aren’t that important to me. It’s just the simple fact that nothing has came through since October for this phone. Google started this initiative to release monthly security updates, so how can these manufacturers/service providers pick and choose as to what security update is the most important? Especially with the recent security flaws, you’d think they would kick it in gear. Guess not.
Agreed…. I’ve owned devices from every mfg and they are all terrible at updates imo. If security updates matter to ppl best bet is Pixel devices. Closest one to follow would be Essential as they keep things updated very well also compared to any of the other mfgs
