Google made the rebranding of Android Wear to Wear OS official this morning, so if you’re curious as to whether your current smartwatch will see the platform update, we have you covered.
According to the complete list, there’s a solid number of devices that should see the update to Wear OS, even though for the time being it’s solely a name change. Don’t expect some crazy new features or anything just yet. For now, this is simply cosmetic.
The full list has been placed below.

Darn, I was hoping the Wear24 would get the update.
It hasn’t had an update in a year, why would you think that? It was discontinued and is no longer supported. I bought one for $50, it’s pretty neat either way.
I wonder if they have custom ROMS for WearOS. If an HP Touchpad can run Nougat, a Huawei watch can run WearOS.
I don’t know why Im disappointed to not see my $75 wear 24 watch in there. I should be expecting these things. I prefer Google play services updates that keep me included.
RIP LG G Watch R. I’ll wear you til the day you die
Wait no support for the OG Moto 360???? /s
Very disappointing to not see my Asus ZenWatch 3 on the list. It is as fully capable as any other watch on the list and I still love it, but apparently Asus has completely abandoned it. It is great to see so many others listed though. This will give me a great list to starting to find my next watch.
No moto360 2nd gen? That sucks…
I have a Fossil Q Explorist so I’m happy to see that my watch is on the list. However, can someone define “pursuing” the Wear OS update? Does “pursuing” mean “you’ll be lucky to see the update while your watch still has a useable lifespan”?
What watch face is that?
Ah Tim teasing me with that OG Huawei Watch pic… Was hoping to see it on the list
Huawei Watch (1), I believe.

I also have one and glad to see it on the list.
That said, it better be on the list for another 1-1.5 years at least. It’s not that old!
well… before it explodes/fully crawls to a slow death I guess I should start researching and budgeting a replacement for my Moto 360 2nd Gen -_-
Was bummed as well I didn’t see it on the list. Mine is still working pretty well, but it’s about time for me also to maybe buy a different smartwatch. Mix it up a little.
I was thinking the same thing. What a waste of money. #ShouldhaveboughttheHuawei
Really not happy about Asus dropping the ZenWatch 3 immediately after they released it!
That is so frustrating. Even the zen watch 2 is more than capable. Asus is a horrible company. I gave them a shot with zen watch 1 and 2 and even the asus phone. They are a horrible company. Only thing they are good for is routers.
And the Zen watch 2 band is not durable as I have had to replace it twice after the clasp came off on mine. I may get a Samsung watch it a different android wear device in the future.
What watch face is that?
Battery Burn 3!
Is it on the play store? Can’t find it.
What brand is the watch pictured?
Huawei Watch (1), I believe.
The Huawei Smartwatch (1) will not get the update.
that wasn’t the question.
