Verizon Updates Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, LG V30

Verizon is pushing a batch of pre-Xmas updates to some of its not-so-new phones. The Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, and LG V30 are all getting new software as I type this.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are only getting the November Android security patch, so that’s nothing exciting. Builds G930VVRS8CRK2 and G935VVRS8CRK2 should be rolling out any minute now.

As for the the V30, well, it’s actually getting new stuff. Build VS99620g includes camera improvements, like portrait mode and a flash jump cut GIF maker. The update also brings new always-on display designs.

To check for each update, head into Settings>System updates.
