Razer has a new gaming controller for Android phones this week, up for order on its own website and Amazon.
Priced at $79.99, the Kishi offers clickable analog thumbsticks, 8-way D-pad, analog triggers, and bumpers which will allow for playing not just mobile games, but AAA titles, too.
The controller is connected via USB-C, with Razer claiming that will virtually eliminate input lag while playing. When not playing, Kishi offers a collapsable design that you can see below.
If you intend on gaming for a long time, such as when you’re on a flight, you can utilize the controller’s pass-through charging. That same port will likely double as an audio port, as there is no dedicated 3.5mm jack.
If you want one, follow the links below. Do note that Amazon’s price is $10 higher at $89. This is an error and Razer is attempting to correct it ASAP.

I just placed my order. Free shipping for 5-7 days and $10 for 3-5 days. I ordered it with the free shipping option, but was still charged $7 tax for California. Rakuten did offer a 5% reward. I’ve been using the Xbox One controller with a clip holder for the phone so this should be a nice upgrade. I’ll be testing with the Oneplus 3T, Oneplus 6, Essential PH-1 and Samsung S9
If you can, update us (well me) if it fits well with an Essential PH-1!
It arrived on Monday and I have had a mixed experience. It’s fully compatible with the OP3T, S9 and PH-1. While it fits the OP6 fine and games work with it, the software does not recognize the device and the blue indicator doesn’t illuminate when connected to the OP6. I was able to update the firmware of the device on the OP3T, but found no discernible difference. Apparently on of my favorite games is not configured to work with standard Android USB controllers (Oddmar), so I contacted the vendor and let them know (the game works fine with my Xbox One controller via BT). All phones are running stock Android 10 while the OP3T is running LineageOS 17.1, which is based on Android 10 (since it was never officially upgraded to 10).
hmm… sounds kinda meh for $70. I’ll stick to my cheap controller for now. Thanks for this update!
Yea considering returning mine, since the OP6 is my primary device and it doesn’t seem to be fully compatible yet. The BT lag vs USB-C is not very noticeable to me so the advantage of the Kishi is not valuable for me.
Just read a review on it and the usb-c is for charging your phone only, no audio passthrough…….which is pretty dumb.
I’ve had a controller similar to this for years that I use to game on my tablet streaming games from my PC. It’s great! I wouldn’t want to do it on my phone, though. Even now with my phone that has a 6.9″ screen. 10″ tablet is ideal for me. I have one very similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VRV5KZ2/ref=sspa_dk_detail_6?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07VRV5KZ2&pd_rd_w=jnJtk&pf_rd_p=48d372c1-f7e1-4b8b-9d02-4bd86f5158c5&pd_rd_wg=Qre3Z&pf_rd_r=YZEP1BZGJCFBHBBFD2PD&pd_rd_r=b01bd8f2-b0ba-456d-9acf-73a39ed7a1e5&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyMExCOEtFSlBXRU5ZJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTUwNzMyM1BGUVpOTTVWM0RLQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDQzMDA5M0hYTE1MQU5LTkY2TiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

The ultimate in lazy americanism….a controller for a phone
I think the purpose of this device is lost for you.
Dude, on screen controls are terrible. This is a niche device. If you don’t want to buy it, this does not affect you in the slightest.
Negative reinforcement will not inspire change.
