Prior to the launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google opened up its Pixel Superfans group to more people, giving them the opportunity to join others who happened to be as obsessed with Google’s hardware. The group has sent out a couple of goodies to members since, mostly in sock form. However, this week, select Pixel Superfans were treated to a package that included a Nest Audio and a really cool coloring book.
Inside the coloring book, there is a QR code that launches what appears to be a new colors.withgoogle.com site that lets all of us enjoy a bit of coloring of Google hardware. That coloring book also happens to mention a product that Google has not announced yet, the Pixel 6a.
At the back of the coloring book on page 16, Google lists out “featured products” you would find showcased throughout. On page 6-7, it suggests fans will find both the Nest Thermostat and the Pixel 6a.
Unfortunately, that mention appears to be a leftover error and the Pixel 6a is not on page 6 or 7. We aren’t sure if Google was planning to announce the Pixel 6a this early or if the coloring book was originally scheduled to ship later, but this seems like a sign of things to come, for sure.

The rest of the coloring book shows off the Pixel 6, several Nest devices, and the Pixel Buds A. Again, you can view all of this at colors.withgoogle.com if you want to have a little fun today. All of the pages from the coloring book are at that site, and as far as we can tell do not show off the Pixel 6a.
For those who haven’t kept up with the story of the Pixel 6a, here’s a quick recap. We’re pretty sure it will look a lot like the Pixel 6, run Google’s Tensor chip, and potentially arrive in May.

Was a nice suprise, not sure how much any of us will use it but the irq link and web page I am sure got them tons of media play.
Good play Google, small price for Huge media uptick for Pixel and nest devices.

it was a very nice surprise today. i got the notification from FedEx that a mystery package was coming from california. usually that means a pixel super fans package. i was shocked at the size and weight of the package when it showed up! the colored pencils are nice. ill see how the nest works out.
Yup, it was great. The heavy weight of the Nest Audio was also a surprise for it’s relative size. All in all, the sound quality is pretty good, just wish you can play YT and YT music without a premium account. Guess it’s Spotify and Pandora for me.
I will be kind of ironic if the Pixel 6a (like it’s ‘a’ series predecessor) does offer only one color…

I was not expecting any deliveries today, and was surprised when FedEx rang my doorbell this morning. Had no idea who had sent me a big giant box, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that apparently I am now a Google Superfan! And hey, not going to complain about a free Nest Audio!
