Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • Vibration weakness is a fatal flaw, followed by the weight. It's like a great smartphone with bad signal. It's insane how these people don't really test the devices they make. Or if they do, they choose the worst compromises.

        • Watch 3 has already seen two updates since release. OnePlus updates phones every other month. OP13 has seen multiple updates since launch. They're not as fast or frequent as Google and Samsung, but they stick to their schedule.

        • Just had an update on my OnePlus Watch 2. According to OnePlus, security updates are quarterly. That's obviously not the best, but it's not terrible by smartwatch standards.

  • My biggest gripe is no custom watch faces with wearos5. Major deal breaker for me unfortunately.

  • Still loving my OP Watch 2 but does the OPW3 still give you the warning about battery life (incompatible watch face) when you choose certain Watch Faces from the Play store?

  • Amazfit. 20-30 day battery life at half the price. Has almost all the same "key" features as wear OS. Zepp app is fantastic.
