  • Sure hope the Silicone Carbon batteries are "safe"…7,000mAH (7 amps) could spark a pretty good plume of fire, charging
    at that wattage.

  • Meanwhile, Samsung keeps downgrading and gimping their devices. Same ol' battery capacity, same ol' charging speeds, same ol' camera hardware. S-Pen gets gimped first and now they threaten to go Exynos globally.

    • As soon as they go to Exynos, I'm dumping them. For the first time I didn't buy their newest tablet because they went with that Mediatek crap for $1,000+. No way in hell.

  • yeah I'm ready for this beast lol they'll do the keynote in China on Oct 27th, the 15 and Ace 6 will be announced at the same time, usually we'll get her here in the new year but I have heard various rumors saying it'll be here before the year end but either way I'll be copping and trading in my 13 right now, I'm hype not that I'm a hardcore mobile gamer, but just the actual real flat screen lol, smaller form factor cuz I ain't got stupidly long thumbs and that ceramic coating is very intriguing to see

    • How much smaller is the 15 supposed to be than the 13? I'd love to go back to OnePlus but their phones are just too big. I really wish they would have made the 13T/S with the same specs as the 13. If they had, I probably would have imported it to the states.

      • the 15 won't be 13T sized but it'll be shorter by a few mm and it'll be narrower a tad bit, number wise it's not significant on paper but if you hold it, you'll feel it's much more compact plus the bezels are 1.5mm this time so it'll visually feel more spacious if that makes sense lol

  • 7300mah, 120W Charging? Google, Samsung hello? I will be fine with 6000MAH and 80W charging to start lol

    • Heck, I'd be happy with 5,500mAh and 65W charging!

I want Sammy to focus on the camera experience first and foremost!

    • Let's wait & see if 7,000+ mAh even makes a difference before requesting other OEM's follow suit. And by make a difference I mean 2+ day battery life from real world use & not these pointless ass battery tests.

      • I agree; however given everything the same (processors, performance etc.), I can assume the battery "should" last longer. I would hope to get 1 day of heavy usage out of this and light-to-moderate usage as 1.5-2 days (maybe). Also, battery degradation should be helped to allow the phone to be kept longer (80% of 7000mah is still 5600mah).

I do get your point though, since we do have larger batteries than in the past but at the same time more powerful processors and better efficiencies, but I still do get 1 day out of my 5000mah batteries. lol

What are you referring to when you say "1 day"? Like 24 hours between charges or good battery life from taking your phone off the charger to when you need to put it back on? Genuinely asking because I consider a good day of battery life as going from 100%-15% from 8AM-11:30PM w/ 6+ hours of SoT like I've done before. On the other hand, I would love to take my phone off the charger at 8AM Monday & not have to charge it until midday on Wednesday, depending on how much I've used it.

          • I am mainly on wifi (WFH) and get just about that, but not that much SOT. I might be using a brighter setting for my screen (Google Pixel 10 Pro). That said, I would rather have much faster charging speed (65W-85W or more) at the expense of a bigger battery.

The thing that bothers me the most is battery degradation after only 200 cycles on the Pixel now. How can I pass this thing down the line (err kids) if the battery depletes that fast but the device is supported for 7+ years?! Bring back removable batteries or at least user replaceable ones.

I'd rather have 2+ day battery life (if there is such a thing. maybe with excellent standby time) than super duper fast charging. I prefer the freedom of not worrying about charging the phone rather than being able to juice it up quickly.

I agree. I don't think the battery's degraded much on my S24 Ultra because the other week I got the same SoT that I mentioned above from 6AM to about 10:30PM, but I wasn't using navigation or hotspot; so I wasn't pushing the phone as much as I did last summer.
