The OnePlus 15 launches in North America on November 13 and the company is continuing to tease specs and features before we get there. Of course, we already know everything about this phone, because it already launched in China, but OnePlus has to keep us hooked until the device arrives here. Today, they confirmed another handful of specs, all of which we already knew.
OnePlus 15 specs in North America will be just like the specs from the variant in China. First up, we now know for sure that we’ll get a 6.78″ LTPO display at 165Hz and with a 1.5K resolution. That panel can hit 1800nits in sunlight and also drop to 1 nit when the environment gets darker and you need to save your eyes. When gaming, you’ll experience 120fps on the regular with 3200Hz touch sampling for instant responses.
Powering that display is a massive 7300mAh battery. OnePlus says this is the “largest battery in a consumer smartphone” in the US and Canada. It’s a NanoStack battery, which means it is two battery sells stacked to get us to that capacity. It’ll have 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. There is no mention of Qi2 support here, so like the variant in China, we’ll likely need cases or something like that in order to experience the wonderful world of magnets. And look, Qi2 doesn’t do 50W wireless charging, so the speed boost here might make it worth not having Qi2.
As for other specs, we have water and dust rating of IP69K, allowing you to spray the sh*t out of the phone with high-pressure water jets, a Cryo-Velocity Cooling System with a 5,731mm 3D vapor chamber for gaming, and OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
Again, we knew all of this because of China. Nothing appears to have changed much for the US, and that’s a good thing.

I had the OP 13 and I was disappointed in the battery life. It was maybe a little better than the S24+ it replaced, but considering the jump (4900mAh on the s24+ to 6000mAh on the OP13) I was a little disappointed. Hopefully a jump to 7300mAh will result in a bigger upgrade in battery life. I see some complaints about the display changing to 1.5k from 2k. Can you really tell the difference? Maybe if it was a larger screen, but, it is < 7". The big question is the cameras. It appears the sensor size is being reduced, and the Hasselblad partnership has dissolved, which is concerning. I suppose we'll just have to wait to see how the cameras perform IRL.
I'm not sure. The downgrade in screen resolution and camera are concerning. We'll see how this device is received in the US before I make a decision on it.
Article after Article continue ignoring the reality that OnePlus has downgraded every camera sensor across the board, downgraded the screen resolution and copied the design of an iPhone that was released in 2019!! The OnePlus 15 is an absolute joke when compared to the OnePlus 13 that has superior camera sensors a beautiful original design and a far more detailed display!! My guess is droid-life is either getting paid or the author of the article isn't actually trying to inform its readers!! Either way the OnePlus 15 is an embarrassment!!

OnePlus is extremely slow with what scarce updates they do provide. I STILL haven't received Android 16 yet.
OnePlus updates its current phones every other month. They just released the Android 16 update in India, whuch means it will hit Global/EU/US devices over the next 2-4 weeks.
No. When I switched to a OnePlus 7 Pro from my Pixel 2 XL, I immediately missed the software experience of the Pixel I had grown accustomed to. The physical Alert Slider and the pop up selfie cam kept me with the OP until the Pixel 6 came out. As bad an experience (buying and using) the Pixel 6 was, it was good to be home.
When will a company make security a selling point? I miss my Blackberry and want to see something different. Backlit touch keyboard, more assortment of accessories, something. I don't know I'm just talking.
I have the OnePlus 13. It's rooted since I'm a Termux guy. I want to load Kali Nethunter on it. I just haven't had the chance. As far as the OP15 having the largest battery in the US and Canada market, I don't quite think that's the case. Ulephone has a battery around 20,000+mAh , probably to power that thermal imaging camera. Speaking of cameras, OnePlus needs a LiDar. Anyway, I am extremely satisfied with my OnePlus 13 and see no need to upgrade.
on the official website for the 13 it says "80W SUPERVOOC™ (*Up to 100W with OnePlus SUPERVOOC 100W Dual Ports Power Adapter.)" sooo… pretty much the same thing then and yeah… I'm copping for sure lol I can't wait the 7 more days man just give it to us already foo! OOOS16 probably won't arrive on my 13 before the 15 drops lol
THEOnePlus is limiting the charger to 80 watts again in the USA ????????
Buying!! Tired of the mediocre battery life on my Pixel 10 Pro XL and the inefficient Samsung Exynos 5400i 5G modem.
Waiting to see some reviews to see if the camera was downgraded too much from the 13.
From what I have heard, the camera looks downgraded on paper, but I hear from reviews of people that have already used the 15, that the camera is actually quite superb.
Buying!
7000th verse, same as the first
Maybe if I can get it activated on Verizon
