Kellen

It’s not often that you get to merge personal passions into a professional life, but that’s what Kellen did when he launched Droid Life in 2009. After working years of unsatisfying jobs in the medical and property management fields, he took a risk to try and create an online community while playing with the coolest gadgets on the planet each day, a risk that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Outside of Droid Life, Kellen is your typical Portlander who drinks way too much good beer, complains often about the Trail Blazers, and can be found out on the streets for a run, rain or shine.

  • I have a SC plan with 5 lines and pay after taxes $180 for unlimited premium. And if it wasn't because I added my mom on a non-disocunted line, it would have been much cheaper for our 4 lines before.

i'd love to try one of the cheaper options or one with more frills, but then either it says I get reduced premium speeds, or would be slightly more.

Tried VZW's service for a trial during the holidays, but the speeds around my home were lacking. Wanted to get new phones, but the 3yr lock kinda bombed it for me, plus the slower speeds aroung the home.

    • Yeah, simple choice unlimited for the win. 4 lines, about $125/month with taxes (2 lines were "free" add-ons over time)

  • t mobile (in my area) slams in the city and really falls off outside of the big cities. and im outside the city alot lol

  • I agree T-Mobile plans are confusing and you can't rely on them to offer the best deal for you. You need to do research. i learned that the hard way. I recently switched from ATT to Tmobile and it was a horrible experience with numerous calls for support and multiple trips to a physical store (T-mobile) My saga started with the original call to T-mobile. I was very clear i wanted to switch my phone, watch, Ipad and my car. The first problem was the agent sent me a home 5G network along with the items i requested. Switching the phone and Ipad was easy. The watch, car and home network took alot of effort. I finally got someone to approve the return of the home network , however the monthly charge for the service was still on my bill. that took extra calls and frustration. after a few weeks i realized that my watch was not converted correctly. the watch worked fine if it was near my phone. One day i forgot my phone and then realized i did not have service on my watch
