HTC announced HTC Financing this morning in partnership with TD Bank. Similar to other financing programs we’ve seen, HTC Financing can score you a new HTC phone (must be priced at $599+) with $0 down, low monthly payments and 0% APR. This is great for unlocked phone buyers who don’t want to deal with carriers and don’t mind monthly payments.
So far, only one HTC device qualifies for HTC Financing, being the U11. On HTC’s website, the phone through HTC Financing is listed at $0 down and $28/month for 24 months at 0% APR for 64GB or $0 down and $31/month for 24 months at 0% APR for a 128GB model. Keep in mind, this is all subject to credit approval, like everything else these days.
We’re sure to see more devices available through HTC Financing in the future, so this is something to keep in mind for your next HTC phone.

Those “low payments” are no lower percentage wise than any place else.
It still seems weird to me to finance a phone. Even at 0%, isn’t it basically unsecured debt on your credit?
I guess I also think that most people who are financing it are doing so because they can’t actually afford the phone and not because they see the 0% as a no cost loan.
So it’s possible that in less that two years, customers could still be paying for a phone made by a company that no longer exists. Reminds me of when I was paying off my CompUSA card after they folded.
“Keep in mind, this is all subject to credit approval, like everything else these days.” Tim, that is an odd addition.. “like everything else these days”. Are you insinuating HTC should give $ to anyone who asks for it? Maybe I am reading it wrong.
You’re reading it wrong
Can you translate that line?
Question did Google buy all of HTC’s phone division or just the part dealing with Pixel design? Basically question is this are these Google’s phones now?
Just pixel division
I’m definitely wavering on my Penguin preorder, so if the U11 Plus is going to be as promised, then I would be very interested.
Low Payments Says Who?
Seems like they’re preparing for the U11+ hopefully they’ll knock it out the park. I love the options available when it comes to android
Knock it out the park… not advertise it and fail again. HTC’s problem has always….always been advertising
Can’t disagree with you. But I’m just talking about a solid phone. I don’t understand how a lot of these phone manufacturers don’t put a solid investment into their marketing. People I work with actually have bought the pixel xl 2 solely on the part that they’ve seen commercials
Advertising, and small battery capacity.

I’m speaking from past personal experience with HTC devices. Plus, battery life varies greatly depending on the user, so your stats don’t really apply to me.
