Last night, I was sitting next to a friend that happens to own an iPhone. He pulled out his phone and started playing a game that looked really interesting which I had never seen before, so I asked what it was. He replied and told me it was called 94 Seconds. Quickly, I grabbed my phone and opened up Google Play and said, “please be on Android, please be on Android.” Surely enough, there it was and life was good. (more…)

Disney Launches Temple Run: Oz, Keep Your Eyes on the Yellow Brick Road
To help promote the upcoming Oz movie, Disney released another themed Temple Run game, much like they did to help bring attention to Brave. Temple Run: Oz happens to look much better though, as you travel through environments that look very lively, as well as flying through the air in that famous hot air balloon. Other than the looks, it is your basic Temple Run title with swiping up/down and left/right action. (more…)

Google is taking Google Play’s first birthday quite seriously, and even had a handful of developers add special content to their games to get everyone into the birthday spirit. Google Play Turns 1, Celebrates With a Bunch of Gifts for You
Google Play is celebrating its first birthday today (or maybe tomorrow), so that can only mean one thing – deals, deals and more deals. In a newly launched landing page created for the occasion, you’ll find discounts on hotels, gift cards, new playable characters in games, free music, movies and TV shows. We’re seeing some Kung Fu Panda and Breaking Bad action, along with music from The Velvet Underground.
It’s hard to imagine that Google Play has been around for a full year already. It seems like just yesterday that we were discussing whether or not this change from “Android Market” to “Google Play” was a good or bad thing. Most of you said, “Meh, I’ll deal with it.” Clearly, we all survived.
Go get some.

Kill Off the Big Bad Wolves in Color Sheep
A new game called Color Sheep hit Google Play, pitting a single sheep against a hungry never-ending pack of vicious wolves. As the sheep, you must change your color in order to attack the different colored wolves. It’s easy at first when they are just normal RGB, but once the wolves start coming faster and they take on different shades and color variations, it becomes quite difficult. (more…)
