GameStick, the newest overnight Kickstarter-inspired portable Android gaming system sensation, announced today that they have signed off on a new design with the help of feedback from backers. After the initial and much squarer design was received with mixed feelings, this new version of the GameStick looks much more appealing to average and advanced gamers – well, according to its creators. This morning, Gameloft published a teaser for their upcoming “team-based” first person shooter (FPS) called Blitz Brigade. The teaser shows no gameplay, offering little in the way of what to expect, other than cartoonish muscular jocks with giant guns who want to team up with other muscular jocks with giant guns to splatter blood all over this blessed Earth. Gameloft wants you to “pound your enemies into the dirt and call them mean names” while you play Blitz Brigade. OK, then.
It’s coming to Android, however, we aren’t sure when. Until I see actual gameplay, I’ll have to remain a bit skeptical on this one. (more…)
Exactly one week after its launch onto iOS, Temple Run 2 has finally made its way to Android. If you were a fan of the first Temple Run, then be prepared for a fantastic experience. I am no artist, but I can draw a mean stick figure. Given this talent, I found that I am a complete natural at Draw a Stickman: EPIC. The object is pretty neat – you draw yourself a little stickman and then draw him a little friend. Your friend is then snatched up and it is your task to go get your friend back. (more…)
On Sunday nights, I find myself at the local bowling alley, part of an amateur happy hour bowling league. I am by no means exceptional at the game, but I do enjoy it and beer never hurts the sport either. If you also have a fondness for the sport, you should check out PBA Bowling Challenge. It’s an official title, which means you play against real pros in the game such as Chris Barnes, Walter Ray Williams Jr., and Pete Weber. (more…)
