A title that has been gaining a lot of momentum on Google Play is Ski Safari. With some hip graphics, action-packed gameplay, and cute characters, it’s really easy to see why. You’re snoozing in a cabin on a beautiful mountainside, when all of a sudden a fierce avalanche takes place. Rigonauts, an award winning ship building puzzle game, has landed in the Google Play store. Well, for some. If you own a Verizon device that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, then you can grab the game today and play it exclusively for two weeks before it goes public to all Android smartphones. If you still have the original Angry Birds game installed on your device, you can pick up the newest update that brings a bit of Bad Piggies to the game. Included in the update is a pack of 15 piggy-inspired levels as well as power ups. These power ups have their own unique abilites such as Sling Scope, King Sling, and Super Seeds, and more.
As for me, I’m waiting on Angry Birds Star Wars.

Classic arcade gamers should get a kick out of this. DeathMetal HD might have an exceptionally awesome name, and after watching a video of the gameplay, it could most certainly be the most intense game of Arkanoid I have ever seen. With the levels not taking place in the conventional box shape, the bounces are crazy and the power-ups are even crazier. (more…)
Quick pro tip for anyone looking for fun new games – always check out the Trending section in Google Play. I’m always happy with what I find in there. Today, I came across KungFu Warrior. It’s an awesome platform game where you have one simple goal – whoop bad guy butt. A band of baddies have killed your Master and you must have your vengeance. Last week, Rovio teased an image that lead us to believe there would be some type of Star Wars and Angry Birds themed goodness. This morning, we now know it is a full game and there will be a host of other swag such as animations and toys for kids. Set for November 8, Angry Birds Star Wars could possibly let players choose between the Rebellion and the Empire. Naturally, everything has some sort of bird or pig reference tied in. (more…)
This morning, Rovio is has many folks excited with the above image they released to their Twitter feed. As you can see, that bird is carrying a light saber, the favored weapon of the Jedi whom exist in the world of Star Wars. In the tweet, Rovio links to their Tumblr, which gives instructions for people to meet at Toys R Us at Times Square in New York on October 8th.
So, could Rovio be just making a toy line? I wouldn’t see them stopping there, as it wouldn’t shock me to see an add-on to Angry Birds Space, or possibly a whole new game called Angry Birds Star Wars. That would sell. We’re just days away fom Oct. 8, so we’ll keep you posted.
