• Google Play Sale on Books, Movies, Music, and More Also Goes Live

As we move along through this Wednesday of deals, Google Play has also made their sale on mainstream music, movies, magazines, and books live. By hitting up the Play store, you can catch some pretty great deals on content that would usually go on sale for much more under any other circumstance.

What’s also nice is that these aren’t crappy titles either. There are good movies such as Superbad, Super 8, and Battle: LA for $3.99+ along with pretty good music as well, like Snoop Dogg (or Snoop Lion) and Coldplay for $3.99, and much more.

Go grab these deals while they’re still hot!

  • Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour Trailer Goes Live, Looks Pretty Intense

A new trailer for Gameloft’s Modern Combat 4 has gone live and it’s definitely leaving us wanting a lot more. As we can see from the types of vehicles in the trailer, it’s most certainly taking place in the future and gives off a certain Black Ops 2 vibe, which is completely okay in my book. The Modern Combat series is certainly setting the bar for FPS war games on Android, which means we get to take a break from Dead Trigger.

The game is due out in the Fall of 2012, so we’ll just have to hang in there and await an official release date.

  • Bombshells: Hell’s Belles – Think Tom Cruise in Top Gun but with Big Boobs

From Glu Mobile comes a game that will have any folks born to fly super excited. It’s called Bombshells: Hell’s Belles. You choose one of three characters, all of whom are girls that sport barbie-like features in extremely tight-fitting clothes, and then you fly around in fighter jets and blow up the opposing forces called “T.O.O.L.” If I didn’t know any better, this game is a metaphor for what it’s like for a group of girls to go to a nightclub in New Jersey. • Velocispider is an Arcade Throwback With Genetically Altered Dinosaurs and Lasers

“Part Spider, Part Velociraptor, it’s Velocispider” is how the description of Velocispider starts. It’s pretty straight forward as far as that goes, but all Velocispider wants to do it save its eggs. An evil CEO of the Robot Seafood Company has taken a taste for Velocispider eggs and you must fend off waves and waves of enemies coming to get them.  (more…)

  • Puppet War Hits Google Play – Destroy Them All Before They Take Over the World

If you’re in need of a completely silly, yet totally bad-a** game this morning, check out Puppet War. Much like Dead Trigger, you roam  a level with a weapon of choice (there are many that can be unlocked by completing levels) and kill evil puppets that are trying to take over the world. You play as a janitor so you won’t be too pleased with your first weapon which happens to be a mop. Luckily, by round two you have a Desert Eagle to blow their heads off with.

  • The Bard’s Tale for Android, a Most Foul Yet Humorous Game

This morning, a new game called The Bard’s Tale is available on Google Play that will either offend you with its indecent scantly dressed barmaids (for some that’s a plus) or will have you on your side laughing with its silly Scottish accented main character. The game revolves around the Bard, who is somewhat of a hero and beast slayer. But like all heroes, he enjoys himself a fine ale and the warm company of an attractive woman.  (more…)

  • Last Fish for Android, Artsy Black and White Animations That Look Smooth

Over on Google Play, I came across an artsy black and white game that I’ve taken quite a liking too. What helped me was that it was also rated quite well which never hurts. The game is called Last Fish and it takes place in the darkest of waters. You’re fish that must fight to find food, avoid shadows, and be on the look out for nasty goo. It uses some pretty good tilt controls which actual adds character to the game without the need of on-screen controls that would most likely get in the way.  (more…)

  • Amazon’s Free App of the Day is Tetris, Go Relive Your Childhood

If you happen to still have the Amazon Appstore installed on your device, then you may want to hurry and go pick up today’s free app of the day. For those who feel the need to become extremely frustrated at blocks, it’s Tetris! Need I say anymore? It’s a game that everyone has played and no matter how awesome you think you are at it, you still can’t beat this guy(more…)
