  • Gameloft Teases Their First Android Game Built With Unreal Game Engine

In the video game world, the Unreal Engine is one of the most widely used and popular game engines ever produced. It has powered many games that you have no doubt played: Bioshock, Gears of War 1-3, Mass Effect 1-3 and pretty much any Tom Clancy game that you can think of. It’s an extremely versatile and powerful engine that has gone through many iterations, and they are using that power behind their newest game.

Gameloft posted the picture above to their Facebook page with the teaser “The story of Gameloft’s 1st Unreal Game will soon be revealed, the hint is hidden in the artwork above, can you find it?” You can then vote to unlock the teaser trailer on Youtube or the whole piece of artwork on their Facebook page. The emblem on the sword brings no games to mind so it remains to be seen if this is a game series that already exists. Can you find the clue? Let us know in the comments if you figure it out.

Take a step back in time and relive the birth of jazz music. In Jazz: Trump’s Journey, you play as a young man named Trump, whose dream is to become a famous jazz musician in the early 1920’s. The game’s story line is somewhat based on Louis Armstrong’s actual life, which adds a sort of unique character to it. It is a fantastic platformer, with controls that are extremely well designed and visuals that put any in its class to shame. It’s a really fun, yet challenging game.  (more…)

  • Relive the Original Final Fantasy, Now Available on Google Play for $7

If you have been living under a rock and are not aware of Square Enix’s game juggernaut that is the Final Fantasy series, let me tell you that they are on their thirteenth chapter of the series right now. The games have a huge following and the original few iterations of the series have an even more dedicated group of fans. If you’ve been itching to replay the original Final Fantasy, today is your day.

The original game, with a graphics overhaul, is now available in the Play Store for $6.99. You get to play the same game that was introduced back in 1987 and embark on a “quest to restore the crystals to their former luster.” Compared to Final Fantasy III on the Play Store which is $15.99, this looks like a bargain. Pick it up if you are feeling nostalgic.

  • Another Dead Trigger Update Goes Live, Fixes That Pesky 180º Turn Bug

Madfinger Games has published yet another update to Dead Trigger, the main feature being a fix for that nasty 180º turning bug. It’s hard to explain, but sometimes when you were moving or reloading your weapon, you would instantly be facing the opposite direction, which has gotten me killed quite a few times.  (more…)

  • Demolition Inc. – Destroy Cities to Your Heart’s Content, With Cows

We have reported on Demolition Inc. a few times before, but the application has now dropped to $1.99 in the Play Store and we wanted to make sure everyone got in on the fun. You are placed in the alien spaceship of a blue-collar destruction worker named Mike and sign several contracts to level blocks of cities using whatever tools you can find. Each level provides you with different modes of destruction: oil slicks that cause cars to spin out, sticky glue that causes them to make sudden turns, and even exploding cows that look quite innocent until you run into them.  (more…)

  • Icy Joe Extreme Lands on Google Play – For Fans of Bears, Glasses, and Hammers

You play as a character who’s sole purpose is to climb to the top of each level while smashing through ice, penguins, and bears without taking too much damage. You collect items along the way for additional points and you can bump up the difficulty if you feel the game is too easy for you.  (more…)

  • MovieCat for Android, the Greatest Feline-Based Movie Trivia Game of All Time

I don’t care if you’re either a movie lover or a cat lover, you have got to try out MovieCat. It’s a really good trivia game that is made a hundred times better by having cats appear in scenes from the movies in question. Miss a question? Don’t worry, you still have 8 lives left to complete all five rounds of questions and the bonus “Cat Scene” question.

The questions range in topics from the different genres, famous scenes, DVD chapter names, and Oscar winners. All in all, it’s easily the greatest game ever. For $1.99, that may seem unreasonable, but don’t worry, once you see all of the hard work that went into illustrating all of these cute cats, you’ll know it was worth it.
