Pocket Legends Beta Released, 3D MMO Android Action Ensues
Pocket Legends, the “world’s first 3D Mobile MMO” is available in beta form on the Android market right now. W.o.W. users unite your phones and prepare for hours of time killing, relationship ending, Mom’s basement owning fun! (Cheap shots!) Actually, the game looks pretty polished for a beta and even I’ll admit that the 3D graphics look really sharp. While I’ll be the first to admit that I know nothing about MMOs, if that’s your thing, then you should probably grab this game now. Pretty sure that Mashable ranked it as one of their top 5 mobile games of the year, ahead of Angry Birds.
The beta is free, requires Android 2.1 or higher and is a 30MB download. (more…)

Angry Birds Receives Update And 45 New Levels
The game that has apparently taken over the free world has just received an update. Angry Birds can be manually updated in the market right now and will bring you an additional 45 levels of action! Oh, it will fix some bugs too, but we really just care about the new levels, right?
Cheers Kendal!

Flick Kick Football, My New Mobile Gaming Obsession
OpenFeint announced 11 new games this week and one of them I cannot get enough of. It’s called Flick Kick Football and has been dominating my life for at least 3 days now in more ways than one. The game is similar to Flick Kick Field Goal or Paper Toss, but for whatever reason is so much more fun and addicting. I probably should have started this off by clarifying that “football” in this game is referring to soccer and not the American pigskin ratings machine, but that shouldn’t turn you away though!

According to HalfBrick (Fruit Ninja creator), the new arcade mode will become available to the i*ad and i*hone in November, which you can see in their promo video below. (Yes, they actually released a promo video for an update to a mobile game.) (more…)

Polarbit Pulls Reckless Racing from Android Market, Piracy Adding to Server Issues
One of our favorite new Android games Reckless Racing, has reportedly been pulled from the market due to in-game server overload which its creator Polarbit, is blaming partially on piracy. In a recent news post, they went into detail on some multiplayer server issues they were having, but then made sure to publicly announce their dissatisfaction with a growing number of pirated copies of their game… (more…)

Reckless Racing Released on Android, Top Down Redneck Carnage at its Best
Remember back in March when we talked about a game called Deliverace? It was a top down racing redneck extravaganza that looked too good to be true? Well guess what? It’s back and available now, only they’ve changed the name to “Reckless Racing.” This game is incredibly legit and already makes my list of top games after playing with it for a couple of hours.
Reckless Racing has single player modes for time trials, full racing rallies and a “delivery” mode giving you something different to play for hours on end. There are leaderboards, unlockable goods and too much redneck fun to talk about.
And for you gaming diehards, you’ll love the multiplayer option which lets you host your own races for up to 4 players and battle it out over several different maps. There is a chatting feature, an amazing soundtrack and at least 6 different rednecks to choose from. (more…)

Cut the Rope Headed to Android, Could be the Next Angry Birds?
If you are looking for the next mega-game that can compete with Angry Birds, then get ready for Cut the Rope. This game reached 1 million downloads on its launch day for iOS and has been given the Android thumbs-up by its creator Zeptolab. While they didn’t specify an actual date, you may want to keep an eye on this one. And I’ve got to admit that I had a chance to cut some ropes yesterday on an i*od Touch and the game had me instantly hooked. Video action after the break. (more…)
