A couple of months ago, we had the pleasure of reviewing Motorola’s new (at the time) S11-FLEX HD bluetooth headphones. Overall, we really enjoyed them, especially for long runs or during rigorous workouts. But what about the version that’s still tailored to HD audio, yet has a more subtle non-workout appearance for other occasions like say, school? Even as mobile technology advances year after year, there is one area that continues to be nothing other than a pain point – battery life. It feels like it has been a while since we last handed out a mega-prize. Well, I take that back – we just gave away two brand new Nexus 7 tablets a couple of weeks ago. But you know what, it’s going to be a slow week in terms of Android news, so we figured we’d spend the time rewarding readers. How does a brand new, un-opened HTC One Google Play Edition sound? Yes, this is the bad boy running stock Android, receiving updates in a hurry (already on Android 4.3), and still manages to carry all of the best parts of HTC’s flagship hardware. With the new Nexus 7 hitting retailers at the end of last week, today as the official launch day sort of lost some of its excitement. The folks at Cruzerlite recently partnered up with Andrew Bell and the Android Foundry to create two special edition TPU cases for their ever-growing line. They sent us over a few samples to show off and then give away to DL readers, so since it’s a holiday week, we thought we’d do that today. Anyone remember Buzz Launcher? This is the third party launcher that launched as a beta back in March, allowing you to share and install all of the most beautiful home screen setups on the planet with a only few simple clicks. For example, you could spend hours cruising around MyColorScreen trying to come up with an idea for your next setup, but with Buzz Launcher, that entire setup may already be available to download through their marketplace and without having to pick and choose items from Google Play. It’s a pretty brilliant idea, actually, especially for those who are constantly tweaking phone appearances or looking for the next great trend.
We took at a look at this new third party launcher back in April, and came away impressed by its ability to quickly get you the setup of your dreams without much work. We also saw the potential that it could have should its userbase grow and the community involved with it continued to share their home screen setups. (more…)
