  • Contest: Win 1 of 5 Spigen Ultra Capsule Galaxy Nexus Cases (Update: Winners Picked)

Earlier today we gave away the 5 Neo Hybrid cases (check your Twitter DMs) that we had from Spigen SGP, but we are not done. We have 5 more cases to hand out, only this time it’s their Ultra Capsule case for the Galaxy Nexus. These are the 1-piece all plastic coverings that fit incredibly well on the LTE Nexus. In fact, these are easily one of our favorite plastic cases currently available for this phone. We wrote up a quick review about them here.

The colors we have to give away are yellow, black, pink, light blue and white. The white one I reviewed, but trust me, it’s still in great condition. Ready to win one?  (more…)

  • Contest: Win 1 of 5 Spigen Neo Hybrid Galaxy Nexus Cases (Updated: Winners Picked)

So we’re a day late on the contest, but you will live, right? Since we are handing out 5 (five) of Spigen’s Neo Hybrid Galaxy Nexus cases in the next two hours, I figured you’d forgive us.

The Neo Hybrid is the two part case (1 part silicone, 1 part polycarbonate) from Spigen that gives you the ultimate fit with a touch of protection on your Nexus without adding a ton of bulk. The two-tone color snazzes it up a bit too, in case you were looking for some added flair. You can read our full review of the case here.

We have all 5 of the colorways to give away:  white, red, yellow, black and silver. The silver one is the case I reviewed, but I promise it is still in excellent condition and may be the hottest of them all. Ready?   (more…)

  • Quick Review and Contest: Andru Android Charger Takes the Charging Cake, Win 1 of 4 Now! (Updated: Winners Picked)

The Andru charger was introduced a couple of weeks back and has since taken the Android collectible world by storm. As the coolest charger you will ever find, Andru lights up while plugged in, has bendable arms, movable antennas, and is your ultimate desk companion.

If your first thought runs along the lines of “Oh, another cheap plastic accessory,” then think again. This charger is actually much higher in quality than I had imagined it would be. It is sturdy plastic and rubber, the green and white matching cord feel of the highest quality, and none of the moving parts feel as if they are on the verge of falling off. It’s a great little charger for the Android enthusiast in the building.

At $25 a pop, you may have a hard time justifying it especially with the half dozen other chargers you have lying around your house. Trust me though, as an Android fanboy, this is definitely worth it.

Jump past the break for photos and contest details. Yep, we’re giving 4 away.   (more…)

  • Contest: 10 Premium Redeem Codes for Koush’s Tether App Up For Grabs

Koush’s Tethering app is all the rage these days in Android. It has given those that aren’t interested in rooting, an opportunity to tether from their phone to a computer with little hassle. Tato has actually given it some good run here at CES and would definitely recommend it.

To celebrate its official release this week, Koush handed us 10 premium redeem codes to get a set of DL readers up and taking full advantage of their data packages. After all, you do pay for it, so why not use it however you want, right? That’s probably a conversation for another day. 🙂

So here is the deal. To enter to win, all you have to do is tell us how much data you consume on average each month and if you use any sort of tethering service on a regular basis. Simple enough?

Later this evening when we leave the show floor, we will pick the 10 winners.

  • Droid Life’s NFL Eliminator Challenge has Come to an End, Two Perfect Entries Separated by a Tiebreaker

The NFL’s regular season has come to a close, and with that we have a winner for this year’s DL NFL Eliminator Challenge that was hosted over at ESPN. Over 1,500 of you attempted to win the grand prize, which was a phone of your choice. Unfortunately, not all of you were able to last the entire 17 weeks – many of which were eliminated back in week 1 (like me). Two players did crush the competition though, choosing correctly for 17 weeks straight and bringing the title shot down to a tiebreaker.

Players therealjohnmark and lookingup24 picked the Eagles and Bears respectively in week 17 which were both correct, however, the Eagles put up more points (ESPN’s tiebreaker rule) giving the win to therealjohnmark. Nice work, boys.

John Mark’s prize is a phone of his choice, which he has decided should be the DROID 4. Obviously the phone is not out yet, but he is willing to wait until that time to get his hands on the first truly powerful 4G LTE slider on Verizon.  Congrats!

    Thanks again for playing, everyone!
